**What do you like best about Netchex?**

I really love Netchex. It's incredible how everything is all in one place, like payroll, HR, reporting, I9, policies, and documents that can be e-signed. They even handle quarterly taxes. The support team is fantastic, especially my own rep, and it's great that they actually listen to their clients. They've been making constant improvements since 2021 based on our feedback. The new features they add definitely make my work life easier. Our employees appreciate being able to access everything from their phones. The time clock geofencing is a neat feature too, ensuring that employees can't clock in from unauthorized locations. The communication during setup was exceptional, and I still remember Gabby from the team who was so helpful. I genuinely rave about Netchex almost daily.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

Their AI chat. It's learning, and AI is the future. But it's still new so it's frustrating sometimes so I just ask to speak to a live agent.

**What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Netchex consolidates payroll, HR, reporting, and more into one platform, simplifying tasks and allowing e-signatures. It manages quarterly taxes, provides electronic W2s, and enables easier tax and deposit changes, enhancing convenience for my team and employees.

**What do you like best about Netchex?**

Customer service is extremely friendly and helpful. You are rarely on hold for very long, if at all. And they never make me feel dumb when I present a simple or repeat question. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate. I used Netchex at a previous employer and was a fan and now am using it again a few years later and am pleased with all their enhancements and improvements. Building your own reports is quick and easy. With other payroll providers building reports is complicated and clunky. Netchex, along with being the best option for my current employer, was also the most affordable.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

We had trouble getting our taxes set up properly from the beginning. We had been with the same payroll provider for years so we didn't know how specific to be during implementation. We had to call back several times and submit various tickets to get things set up correctly in the first year, but we got there.

**What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking our various PTO plans with our previous payroll provider was horribly complicated. You had to jump through several hoops and employees didn't always know their up to date balance. Netchex has made all of this so much easier. As our staff make up changes (in terms of hours and what PTO they are eligible for) along with new laws continue to roll out in our state, the ability to build our PTO plans to accommodate our staff within Netchex is so appreciated.  When we have a new plan to add and I call Netchex with my potential plan of attacks, if there is a better or easier way to do something, they will let me know and walk me through the process.

**What do you like best about Netchex?**

I really like the ease of navigation Netchex provides. It makes moving from one area to another on the site simple. When I need help finding something, the navigation help steps you through it, which is super helpful. I also appreciate the help and communication from the Netchex team during setup and switchover; it was very seamless.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

The accrual/attendance should be easier for employees to understand. There are options being seen by the employees to choose as a day off like 'vacation' or 'personal' when we don't use that; we only use 'PTO' and 'Unpaid time.' I also think that their fillable forms need to be updated, it is very unprofessional looking.

**What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Netchex allows me to handle timekeeping, payroll, onboarding, and netbenefits all in one place seamlessly, saving me time. It is easy to navigate across the site, and its help functions guide me step by step when needed.

**What do you like best about Netchex?**

I use Netchex for payroll, time cards, sending company-wide notifications, and managing PTO. I find the self-service tools great as they reduce questions from employees by tracking PTO efficiently. I love the customizability and find it easy to use. The custom reports are great, saving me time and providing the exact results I need without any unnecessary information. I also needed more automation, which I found with Netchex.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

Some employees have app glitches where things won't load sometimes. Additionally, it sometimes incorrectly states that employees are out of the building when they are actually inside. The initial setup was quite extensive, and I didn't expect it to entail so much.

**What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Netchex for managing payroll, time cards, and PTO. It allows department managers to handle time cards effectively and tracks PTO, minimizing employee questions. The self-service tools are great.

I do wish that the dashboard was customizable to make it a bit more engaging. I also do not feel it is a great platform for housing personnel files.

Netchex is helping to automate payroll and timekeeping functions. We have been able to streamline timekeeping functions and regulate parameters around when and where punches can take place.

I really like how centralized and intuitive Netchex is for managing payroll and employee data. It's very convenient to do everything in one system, like processing payroll and updating employee profiles, without needing to jump to different platforms. I also appreciate their excellent customer service. Their support team is super responsive and willing to walk me through issues step by step.

Sometimes when they do system updates it can mess up some features but when you call them they are quick to fix them.

Netchex solves problems like tax issues and centralizes payroll and employee data management. The system is intuitive, and their responsive support team is a plus.

I like that I can manage employee information securely, and running payroll is very easy. Overall, it makes these tasks feel straightforward and well organized.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

Customer support hasn’t been great in the past. I’ve had to rely on email or chat boxes to get help, rather than having an account manager I can call and speak with directly. It has improved slightly, but support is still two time zones away from me, so when I need something urgently, there have been times I haven’t been able to get it.

It solves the hassle of running payroll and managing payroll taxes separately. Having managed payroll all in one system is very helpful and makes the whole process much easier to handle.

I appreciate Netchex because customer service is always accessible with no long hold times and the representatives are friendly and knowledgeable. It's crucial for me that customer service reps are in the USA, as it allows for clear communication when addressing payroll issues. The platform is versatile, working well for small businesses and large corporations, and I'm confident that the price point and product fit any business size. Additionally, the initial setup of Netchex was extremely easy and user-friendly.

**What do you like best about Netchex?**

I appreciate that Netchex has streamlined the onboarding process by eliminating the need for sending out tons of paperwork for new hires. I love the easy access to information in the Knowledge Center which makes finding solutions quick and efficient. The ability to submit tickets quickly and have them addressed promptly is fantastic. Customer Service is top-notch and always very helpful and available when needed, and I never have to wait long for a response, which is awesome. The tutorials and on-demand trainings are also very helpful when I need a quick solution to a problem.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

Accruals need some work. It would help if the accruals would reflect the correct hours available regardless of being in the pay period that an accrual is set to renew. If someone has an anniversary date during the current pay period, the accrual plans will not show the new amount of hours available until after the payroll closes. This confuses the employees and HR is always having to investigate, answer questions regarding the discrepancy, and follow up to make sure the accrual is reflecting the correct hours after payroll has been processed. The initial setup was very tedious but doable.

Netchex streamlines the onboarding process, eliminating the need for new hires to fill out numerous pieces of paperwork. The platform provides fast support, efficient ticket submissions, and helpful training resources, which solve our team's challenges promptly.

They seem to do a lot of updates that move things around the site. It seems once I get used to locating something in a specific spot, they will change the layout and I am wasting time searching for functions.

I like the customer service and the general turnaround time for 99% of problems, as well as the great follow-up. I also found the initial setup of Netchex to be very easy.

Some complicated tax issues with filings that are not sent in on time or require logins from C-Suite employees.

One area where Netchex could improve is in automating the payroll scheduling process. Currently, users need to manually enter pay period and paycheck dates. Additionally, the system requires an override to run payroll with next-day paychecks; it would be nice to have more flexibility in that aspect.

Netchex is excellent at helping us keep clients in compliance, particularly when it comes to accurate withholding and timely remittance of taxes and other deductions.

The platform is intuitive and easy to use, even for team members who aren't tech-savvy. Customer support is responsive and knowledgeable, and the reporting features make it simple to track payroll, taxes, and employee changes. I also appreciate how seamlessly everything connects — from onboarding to benefits to time tracking.

Some of the customization options for reports and user permissions can feel a bit limited, and updates sometimes roll out with little notice or explanation. That said, the team is usually quick to address any hiccups.

Most of the programs are part of netchex themselves and not a 3rd party.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

There's no much quality assurance or communication when products are released. When there are bugs, you do not hear back from anyone and months can go by. Sometimes, no one ever reaches back out.

They are mainly solving issues to make the program flow better and have better reporting capabilities.

**What do you like best about Netchex?**

Netchex has been a game‑changer for our business. They helped us streamline our payroll and timekeeping by consolidating everything into one seamless system. Now we manage clock‑ins, payroll runs, tax payments, and new‑hire reporting all from a single platform—no more juggling multiple tools.

The automation has saved us tons of time and eliminated so many manual errors. Their team also handles all the tax filings and new-hire paperwork, taking a huge weight off our shoulders. And whenever we’ve needed help, their customer support has been fast, friendly, and effective. Based on feedback on G2, we’re not alone—many users report that Netchex “streamline[s] and centralize[s] HR and payroll processes,” saves time, and reduces errors.

So far, there is no downside to Netchex.

Netchex is slow on some pages, scrolls/thinks. System does not identify minors, would be helpful if it flagged employees that are minors. End of year tax delivery methods should be included in the onboarding process. It is costly to mail tax forms when MOST get returned, THEY should be delivered electronically or at least include the question in the onboarding process.

I genuinely admire the company's relentless drive for innovation and their ongoing efforts to enhance the user experience. It's impressive how they continually introduce new features and improvements that meet the evolving needs of their users. Additionally, I love the platform's high level of customization, which allows me to tailor it to my specific preferences and workflows, making it not only user-friendly but also perfectly suited to my personal requirements.

There can be processes that aren't user-friendly. My main qualm is that Netchex doesn't let you make status changes for a future effective date. I know they are working on this now, and I'm excited for it to roll out!

The fact that I have to sometimes call to get my payroll invoiced.  The hold times are alot longer than stated on the hold message

Many facets of payroll system from new hires, onboarding, benefits, time and attendance, learning training automations for employees/new hires.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

That all modules are not built before we transitioned to Netchex. 
It would be more helpful to have clients roll out a complete basic product before handing off to users. I feel as if I am going backward not forward and eventually will get there.

More automations than previous products, just reports seem more lengthy and not as custimizable yet.

**What do you like best about Netchex?**

As an employee and as a client administrator, it is very easy to navigate back and forth from accounts. I think processing payroll is the easiest, straightforward part of using Netchex.

Submitting a Case representatives are very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

Account representatives will never return calls or communication requests. The Submit a Case representatives are helpful but company "Client Success Representatives," "Client Service Representatives," and "Client Account Representatives" are basically non-existent.

Not being able to delete/remove departments, codes, schedule groups is a tad bit annoying. Time and Attendance punching in and out glitches on a daily basis for no reason.

The lack of transparency in pricing and the minimum monthly fee is the worst part. With respect to the first paragraph, I cannot communicate with anyone to infer about product add-ons and adjustments of the contract.

**What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Netchex overcharged monthly minimums to certain clients based on a Legacy Billing Structure. I heavily considered making a switch to a different platform. They said they were going to fix it but I have yet to see any proof. It will benefit me and the company greatly if they do fix this issue.

**What do you like best about Netchex?**

I have used many systems such as ADP, PeopleSoft, SAP and felt Netchex for the most part is intuitive.  However, some things are harder to learn/understand the logic than the other systems.  I do like how there are preset reports in Netchex that make is easy to run reports at times.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

I liked how other systems had more of a workflow to ensure all fields that need to be completed are completed, for example when hiring in an employee.  I felt there were many places that I had to go in Netchex to make sure a person was set up and those are easy to miss.  I realize Netchex is more of a payroll system than HRIS therefore, it may not do all that I would like it to do and flow easier.

Setting up our backend benefits.  I do like how there is support however, I do not like how their time is limited on their help especially if we are on a call.

Netchex contains all important info for employees such as their timekeeping, demographics, compensation, and licensure. It is super easy to build reports to find exactly what you need.

There are moments when Netchex is lagging and certain buttons will not worok. Not often, but sometimes.

Netchex helps keep our licensures and certifications up to date by it building its own monthly report to show which are out of date.

**What do you like best about Netchex?**

The ability to deduct and pay local taxes for employees who live in a city.  Netchex handling the payment of taxes/child supports/garnishments for all payrolls.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

I dislike the process/explanation of miscellaneous charges.  For example, this year we were charged fees for tax discrepancies discovered in an audit for 2021.  These charges are just attached to the next payroll and is NOT disclosed and explained to the client/user.

The timely filling of federal, state and local taxes, as well as, the production of W2's and 1095/1094 forms.

I like the ease of use for multiple companies. It is user friendly and inclusive. The live chat and support is excellent. I am a Payroll Manager and use Netchex daily.

I do not like that it took away the teach me button to watch training videos, or the show me button. I was in the middle of completing it when it disappeared.

We have multiple companies and multiple different types of payroll. Netchex makes it easy to navigate between them and complete all the different types of payroll efficiently and quickly.

The staff at Netchex are always friendly and very helpful.  I love that they have multiple ways to get help, from a chat line to a very extensive help section, and most of all I love that I can talk to a person on the phone when I need help walking through something.  They are really good at following up on problems as well.  I have been very pleased with our service. I also find the system very easy to use and they have a number of features that you can add on to fit your business needs.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

Sometimes I find it teadious to find the right report that I am looking for.  They have lots of options for reports but there are so many to look through especially when first starting out.  Their staff did teach us how to pull just the data we were looking for so that was very helpful but they had to walk me through it.

Ease to use and great reports.  Glad to see new features are being implemented that will be beneficial to our clients.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

Customer service was at it's all time low for a few years, but we have seen a complete turnaround, so I hope we do not revisit this in the future.  At times, we are still experiencing different answers to the same question by more than one rep.  We are working closely with a team to get this resolved. Lastly, I STRONGLY dislike the fact that old timeclocks will no longer be an option to purchase and we are being FORCED to order the new (more expensive) ones. Clients should continue to be given an option on the type of clock they wish to use.  HUGE...HUGE complaint!!!

Customer service is improving thanks to the experts that have been assigned to our group of clients.

**What do you like best about Netchex?**

We have different pay scales for weekends versus weekdays and Netchex figured out a way to make that happen when other softwares could not.  THey also integrate to our overall accounting System to push all data  to the GL and help close year end more seamlessly. Support works hard to solve glitches.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

The layout of screens isn't as user friently as other software systems.  Locking out individual employees one at a time ( I have managers in different departments to do) is a 12 click process and I have to step back multiple screens to get to the next search for the next manager - every week.  SO easy to use in some ways and in others not as easy.   Implementation was a major project but they dedicated resources better than we actually did internally.  Thus, I don't want to ever leave them for many years!   They were very competitive with other softwares in ongoing subscription costs.

Year End closing will be awesome this year for W2's and 1099's.  Last year was the first time with part of the year migrated data from another payroll mixed with Netchex.  They helped us get thru it great.   Employees punching in via phone.  Hospitality employees love it.  Few glitches in defining the barriers to where they can and cannot punch in but overall great feature!

Overall, I can't think of anything I like about Netchex.

Support is lacking. Individual support personnel either do not have all the information they need, or fail to provide all the information the customer needs, to resolve issues. I currently have two unresolved issues with the same employee's W2 and one of their paychecks. Still waiting for Netchex to take action after two weeks on the W2 issue and a week on the paycheck issue.

Payment and filing of taxes by Netchex is helpful.

Most helpful are the reporting features including custom reports. The platform is easy to use and very user friendly on the website and mobile app.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

Changing custom reports is not easily completed without help. Although responses are quick when opening a case, having an instant chat feature with a real person would be super helpful for small issues.

Timekeeping and payroll are integrated, so I do not have to use 2 systems that must "talk" to each other. I can pull time and payroll reports at the same time.

The tutorials have been extremely helpful in learning the system. Netchex is quite user friendly and one of the easiest systems I have learned. Netchex customer help is also and added benefit. I have been very lucky to reach knowledgeable and helpful staff at Netchex.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

So far the only downside is not being able to pull a full comprehensive list for terminated and active employees together. Also after creating a grid there are certain things it won't pick up if changes have been made. Sometimes we have things that come up that have to wait until the next week because we have already created the grid for payroll.

**What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Netchex for HR tasks and payroll. This keeps things in one place so that we can pay our employees and manage their deductions.

NetChex houses multiple different ERP options within one platform and is of appropriate cost in comparison to competitors.

NetChex has a relatively good support team that I have rarely had issues with.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

NetChex UI is a bit rudimentary and some of their tools fail to compete with other competitors (e.g. The ATS system NetRecruiter has limited or no functionality in regards to texting applicants, automation, and screening).

NetChex has been slow with integrating with benefits systems and conducting with our insurance vendors.

NetChex does almost all of our key ERP roles outside of scheduling.

The time and attendance tools are excellent, and the method of use and ease of access make the system easily managed by staff members with limited tech skills. Implementation was extensive as the private sector operates differently from the standard industries.

The PTO accruals, earning codes, and reports have been challenging. As a non-profit, our SOP is unique to all public sector companies, so sometimes I felt the reps were not helpful or pushed the concern off since it was not a majority issue.

Reporting options/custom reporting are pretty substantial & generally user friendly - integration with Employee Navigator benefits is ok, but does have some glitches - 401(k) integration with Principal Financial worked pretty well - we switched 401(k) companies to T. Rowe Price just a couple of months ago & so far that seems to work pretty well

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

sometimes getting resolutions to cases can be challenging - regular tax updates or payrolls to be unlocked are usually quick & painless, but trying to set up a better posting method or employee with an unusual problem can take days if it is resolved at all

we were able to eliminate a large portion of our paper in-processing file, but unfortunately not all of it

The accrual system is very helpful. Employees can request time online and it eliminates a lot of paper.  The staff is nice.  The online help is also good.

After almost a year we do not have our company taxes and quarterly reports right.  The reports are often quite delayed.

The benefits Administration is very helpful and works well.  We have a lot of different types of employees who accrue benefits differently and this is the first payroll service that could provide easy administration.

**What do you like best about Netchex?**

Netchex was very easy for me to learn and I was very new to payroll.  Whenever I had questions or needed assistance someone always was there to help and the online training was also helpful.

**What do you dislike about Netchex?**

The Scheduler module has needed some upgrade  for quite some time.  The mobile app also could be more helpful.  If I need to call an employee  I can look up phone number quickly but have to close app to call.  It would be nice to click on number and call directly from mobile app

**What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have just recently upgraded to Net Recruiter and onboarding new hires will save me lots of valuable time.
