Booking travel through Navan is genuinely fast. I can search for flights and hotels, compare options, and book a complete trip in under ten minutes.
The interface shows me what is in policy and what is not right on the search results page, so I am not guessing whether something will get flagged or need approval. That alone saves a back-and-forth cycle that used to happen on almost every trip. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hotel selection in smaller cities can be limited. For major markets it is fine, but when I am traveling to a secondary city for a customer visit the inventory sometimes feels thin compared to what I can find on a consumer booking site. I end up requesting out-of-policy bookings more often than I should need to.
The approval workflow can feel slow depending on how your company has it configured. That is probably more of an internal admin issue than a Navan issue, but from the traveler side, submitting a trip and waiting for approval when I need to lock in a fare creates anxiety about prices changing in the meantime.
The receipt matching for non-Navan-card expenses is clunky. Uploading a photo of a receipt works, but the OCR does not always pull the right amount or vendor name, so I end up correcting fields manually. The auto-categorization for Navan card transactions is great, which makes the gap more noticeable when I have to expense something paid another way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
