I rely on MyEclipse for all my day-to-day enterprise Java EE backend work. MyEclipse's bundled enterprise tooling works out-of-the-box and removes the hassle of maintaining numerous plugins. Its built-in Hibernate ORM tool is a huge time-saver, allowing me to generate entity classes directly from existing database tables inside the IDE. The integrated Tomcat connector lets me deploy and validate local builds swiftly. With these tools, I don't waste time fixing plugin conflicts and can focus on debugging backend logic. The seamless integration and speed of validating mapping changes make my workflow efficient and keep my focus on business logic rather than environment setup. MyEclipse can feel heavy and slow when I load up our larger legacy multi-module logistics projects. Startup times stretch out, and occasionally UI freezes happen while switching between dozens of open source files. The custom code-analysis rules are also pretty limited out-of-the-box. When auditing our freight-processing backend for inconsistent exception handling, I couldn’t set up tailored checks easily.
