Architectural Fabrication partnered with Mountain Point to implement Rootstock ERP. The specific challenges that we faced that prompted this project were the segmentation of processes across multiple platforms, duplicating data entry efforts, lag in data reporting that was critical to the decision making process, and more. The key factors to our success on this project were our agile approach and the team that we constructed to execute the implementation. Our project started with long demonstrations/discovery sessions that provided insights about the platform's capabilities and returned a deeper understanding of our business needs to Mountain Point. Mountain Point leveraged technology resources to frame up the milestones of the project and detail out a project plan. However, both sides had the expectation that this plan would change. Over the 18 months of the project’s life cycle, our agility to pivot the project allowed us to deliver solutions that fit the current needs of the business. In addition to hiring Mountain Point, Architectural Fabrication built an internal team of super users. The individuals on this team represented every user group within the organization. Constructing this team provided valuable feedback from the perspective of each user role and allowed us to build systems and processes in unison. This resulted in much less pain at go-live.
