What do you like best about Motive?

I like that drivers can handle pre-trip, post-trip, login, and HOS without hand-holding. I also like that when I get a clip, I can see the context and move straight into the coaching workflow without digging around. The compliance workflows are predictable, especially compared with what we had before. Chat support actually solves problems. The value for the cost feels reasonable. Setup was easy, and it integrated smoothly with our fuel card system and with insurance. The AI tagging for following distance, distraction, speeding, and license plate reading is very accurate. What do you dislike about Motive?

So far, I’ve had a few devices go offline without any warning, and I’ve also run into gateways that lose GPS or fail to sync. These issues seem fixable, but resolving them can take extra assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps reduce the compliance risk I’m constantly juggling across HOS, DVIR, and IFTA. The export-ready IFTA reports don’t require much cleanup, which saves me time. It also uploads events quickly and easily. The app and overall workflow are straightforward, so I spend less time troubleshooting. Fleet visibility is centralized as well, making it easy to see who is where, who is active, who is having issues, and who needs coaching. It has strengthened insurance and claims defense.
