**What do you like best about ModMed?**

I find ModMed incredibly useful for quickly reviewing patient charts, which is essential in my dermatology practice. The ease of chart review, especially using the visual body feature, allows me to efficiently assess and compare patient photos from previous to current visits. This capability is particularly valuable as it provides on-the-fly information, which is crucial when I'm out of the office and need to reference patient records. I love the integration with Apple devices, enhancing my interaction and accessibility with the software. The ability to create stickies for counseling and recommendations facilitates efficient documentation and communication, streamlining my workflow significantly. Additionally, the easily added phrases feature helps in inserting common statements quickly, making chart management more efficient.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I find incorporating attachments into ModMed cumbersome, and embedding them directly into the chart for consultants is not as seamless as I would like. The lack of a hyperlink feature within the body of notes to link directly to corresponding photos or written impressions adds unnecessary complexity to workflow. I also feel that the area reserved for important patient details like allergies, blood thinner use, and other critical information is not prominently displayed, which could improve through a more visible interface. The absence of color-coding for different types of visits also reduces the clarity in the schedule and could enhance organization. Searching for other HISP direct mail users and their addresses isn't as intuitive as expected. It would be beneficial if ModMed could support dot phrases similar to those in Epic, allowing for more efficient shorthand note-taking. The limited functionality of native phrases in EMA, and the inability to copy or utilize phrases from others, further restricts efficiency. Lastly, the transition to using ModMed was made difficult by the lack of adequate time with experts. The promised expert guidance was insufficient, making the setup process more challenging than necessary.

I use ModMed for ease of chart review, accessing information while out of the office, and quick comparisons with visual body features. It allows inserting easy phrases and notes, enhancing my dermatology practice efficiency.

I appreciate how ModMed has significantly shortened the time our providers spend creating and documenting clinical notes, which streamlines our day-to-day operations and enhances efficiency. Additionally, it has reduced the time our front desk staff spends on indexing faxes and alleviated scheduling complications, making our administrative processes smoother and more manageable. I find the MIPS advising feature within ModMed's EMA incredibly valuable, as it allows our practice to successfully report with a positive adjustment, which justifies the investment by demonstrating a meaningful return. Being able to report MIPS directly from the Firm Admin enhances our overall reporting processes, making them more straightforward and less time-consuming. These aspects of ModMed contribute greatly to improved operational efficiency and positive financial outcomes for our practice.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I find the orders workflow and referral management integration within ModMed to be areas that could use improvement. Additionally, the initial setup was quite extensive and demanding, particularly in building our clinical and front desk workflows, which was a significant undertaking. It would have been beneficial if the trainers had a better knowledge of MIPS to make the setup process smoother.

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

I really appreciate the relevant updates within ModMed’s practice management system, which significantly enhance our day-to-day functions. These updates help streamline our efficiency issues and improve workflow, operational tasks, and reporting, making the software an invaluable asset to our dermatology practice. I also find Klara to be an excellent integration with ModMed, contributing positively to the overall user experience. The shift to ModMed has been particularly beneficial for reporting, which was one of the main reasons we switched from NexTech. Despite the initial setup challenges, which were not easy, the long-term benefits significantly outweigh the initial hurdles, thus proving the transition worthwhile.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I find the initial setup of ModMed challenging. Although it proves to be beneficial in the long run, the process is not easy, which can be daunting for new users. Additionally, I believe there is room for improvement in the availability of live chat support, which could greatly enhance the user support experience.

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

I really appreciate how ModMed learns what I do and allows me to repeat those actions, which enhances my efficiency and suits my working style. Additionally, I appreciate the exam documentation by exception feature, which streamlines the process by focusing only on the deviations from the norm, saving me time and reducing redundant work. I also like that it is easy for new hires to learn, which reduces training time and helps them integrate quickly into the workflow. Furthermore, the ability to use ModMed on an iPad adds a level of convenience and mobility that I find valuable for my practice.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I find the overall customer service to be weak. We often lack an identified support person, and when I report issues, it feels like the problem is always seen as something I'm causing, even when it's a bug report. The sales experience was particularly frustrating; we were misled by the sales team when adopting the practice management feature. This left me considering never doing business with ModMed again. Additionally, the practice management feature of ModMed is a disappointment, as it does not seem to be leveraging the technology effectively. It feels about 15 years behind in technology and does not harness the power of modern computers. The initial setup was also problematic; we were promised that all payor information would be transferred, but ModMed failed to do so.

I appreciate ModMed for learning my workflow and allowing me to repeat it, simplifying exam documentation by exception, and being easy for new hires to learn.

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

I appreciate ModMed for its ability to consolidate everything I need into one space, including EMR, patient engagement, and billing. This integration makes my work in dermatology practice much more efficient by streamlining patient flow and improving efficacy. Switching to ModMed allowed our entire team to operate on one cohesive system, as we shifted from using separate platforms for different tasks to solely using ModMed for EMR, billing, and scheduling. Initially, we weren't using ModMed for all functionalities, but once we did, it brought a level of cohesiveness to our operations. Additionally, setting up ModMed for our practice was very easy, enhancing our transition process. I'm highly satisfied with ModMed and would definitely recommend it to others; in fact, I would rate my likelihood of recommending it as a 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I find the current capabilities of Klara within ModMed lacking, particularly in the area of appointment confirmations. We need the ability to make calls, send voicemails, and use emails for these confirmations to ensure effective communication with our patients.

I love the flow screens and the customization options available in ModMed, which significantly enhance our clinic's workflow, especially for our doctors. The ability for all doctors to see different templates specific to their specialties and set appointment time lengths offers a tailored experience that increases efficiency in handling patient flow. The process of checking patients in and moving them seamlessly through the system to the doctor and optical is notably efficient. Additionally, the system facilitates the faxing of patient clinic reports to primary care physicians effortlessly. The initial setup of ModMed was easy to grasp due to the good instructions provided, making the transition smooth for my team.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I find it challenging that ModMed does not automatically assign tasks when faxes from outside referrals are received. Additionally, the integration with Phreesia isn't as efficient as I would like during the check-in process.

The speed of looking up patient data compared to traditional paper charts is impressive, vastly improving efficiency. As I become more familiar with all the tools in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, my appreciation for its functionality grows, making it an indispensable tool in managing our operations. It simplifies staff management and provides immediate visibility into ongoing activities, which enhances overall workflow. The more I use and learn about ModMed, the more I love it, reinforcing its value in our practice.

The initial setup of ModMed was not easy and it was time-intensive to do all the configurations. Although it became easier after completing the configuration and any necessary changes were made, the initial setup phase presented challenges.

I find ModMed to be incredibly valuable in my OBGYN clinic because it aids providers in documenting more efficiently and quickly. The product's user-friendly and intuitive nature stands out, making it easy to navigate and operate, which is essential in a fast-paced healthcare environment. I am also impressed with the customer support provided, as it is great and effectively addresses my concerns and queries. The transition to ModMed from another platform was fairly smooth, considering we were converting 42 providers from a system we had used for 18 years. The ease of the transition further underscores ModMed's advanced technology and capability to meet modern security standards, aligning with the needs and requests of its users.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I dislike that the URL functionality in ModMed doesn't work as efficiently as it should, particularly when it comes to signing results. It can be problematic when results return without being attached to a provider, and there's no alert or flag system to notify about such instances. This can lead to inefficiencies and potential errors in managing patient results.

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

I find ModMed to be extremely user-friendly, which enhances my overall experience and efficiency within the retina clinic. Its ability to keep everything well-organized, including billing, posting, and maintaining concise medical records, significantly helps streamline administrative tasks. I appreciate the easy one-step access to other tools like Trizetto, which integrates seamlessly into my workflow. Additionally, the easy ePrescribing feature allows me to handle prescriptions quickly and efficiently. Despite the initial setup challenges during COVID, using ModMed has proven to be a highly beneficial transition from Nextech/MDI due to its ability to effectively manage electronic medical records and practice management.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I find the Boost feature lacking because it needs to have a billing department that fully understands each medical specialty. This causes inefficiencies and challenges in handling billing for different specialties effectively.

I use ModMed to keep everything organized, facilitate easy billing and posting, and maintain organized concise medical records. It's user-friendly, offers easy one-step access to Trizetto, and simplifies e-scribing.

I appreciate how well ModMed is set up to accommodate our growing practice, aiding our providers in documenting patient visits efficiently. The ability to keep all clinical appointments organized and ensure proper documentation for thousands of patient visits each year is crucial for us, and ModMed delivers on this front. Additionally, the team behind ModMed clearly demonstrates care for their clients and products, which enhances the overall experience.

I wish there was more ability to customize our ModMed environment to the specific needs of our practice. Sometimes there are unique things about our practice that may not apply to all orthopedics groups around the country, and these situations can be difficult to get ModMed to work for our specific needs.

I really appreciate the support teams at ModMed. Whenever I reach out for assistance with templates or encounter issues, they are consistently kind, patient, and supportive. This includes team members like Darlene Frankel, who exemplify exceptional service. I also love attending the conferences held by ModMed, where I get the opportunity to meet teams that support Gastroenterology and participate in roundtable discussions. These events are valuable, as they bring together information teams that offer suggestions and workflows, enhancing the overall usefulness of ModMed. The support from ModMed’s team is so good that it would make me highly likely to recommend the product to others, definitely scoring a 10 out of 10 for recommendation.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I want the Delete button added back when physicians are working on notes, as its removal has caused a lot of discussion with many of our providers. I have called, and they at ModMed said it was done away with. Additionally, I realize Klare is somewhat new for Gastroenterology. However, it has been somewhat tasking, and it could be just me still on the learning curve since we've only had it since early Spring.

I use ModMed for scheduling, managing employee workflows, and accessing pathology reports with ease. MIPS reports keep us organized, and the support team offers excellent assistance, enhancing our operational efficiency.

I'm very excited about the upcoming AI scribe feature because it promises to relieve staffing burdens by reducing the reliance on human scribes, who often call out. We opted for ModMed over other options due to their commitment to robust research and development, which ensures the system remains cutting-edge and continually improves. Additionally, the customer support team is highly attentive, providing confidence that issues will be resolved promptly. Lastly, the implementation team was outstanding, facilitating a smoother transition to the new system than expected.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I find ModMed's financial report logic to differ from GAAP, making it very difficult to reconcile with QuickBooks while reporting different categories of revenue. The real-time reports provide actual receipts, but they lack options to balance and break out by category or physicians, forcing us to create workarounds for our physicians' compensation program. It's also challenging to easily obtain scheduling and other staff productivity stats and KPIs. Additionally, the method for addendums is clunky compared to our previous program, NextGen. Klara, the patient self-scheduling and messaging tool, also needs improvement, though I have been assured that updates are forthcoming.
