## ModMed Reviews
  ### 1. All-in-One ModMed Platform That Streamlines Check-In and Saves Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Berenice A. | Receptionist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

The most helpful thing about ModMed is having everything we need in one platform. It helps us keep patient demographics up to date by confirming details at every check-in, which is a definite plus since we always want the most accurate information on file. Klara also speeds up the check-in process by using our forms, and patients seem to like being able to complete the paperwork before they come into the office. On top of that, we save paper.

Compared to other EMR's, ModMed lets you verify insurance eligibility for the clinic day with a single click, which is a real time-saver for anyone responsible for checking eligibility. The schedule is straightforward as well; when you hover over the patient tab, it displays the information needed for clinic days, and the overall layout is simply amazing. Another bonus is being able to check a patient in without having to walk to the back office to let the medical assistant know they’ve arrived.

All I can say is that I wish my practice had implemented these great features from the beginning of being with the company.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

So far, I can’t say there’s any real downside to ModMed. We’ve run into a few glitches here and there, but the staff responds quickly and gets the issues resolved.

**What problems is ModMed solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are no problems.

**Official Response from Madison Fujii:**

> Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for being an advocate. We're delighted to know our efforts are making a positive impact, and are grateful for your feedback.

  ### 2. Love-Hate

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mandi N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2023

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

I like that you do updates to try to improve, but recently these updates have created harder navigations in the system. Then, these updates have interfered with clinic time twice in the last few weeks, causing us to scramble to go to paper to document visits, calling patients later to get payments. It is very inconvenient especially when it happens between 8 and 10 am, one of our busiest times of the day.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

DO updates on the weekends when not as many users and you can get the kinks fixed before regular business hours.

**What problems is ModMed solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't currently have any problems. I have had reminder updates that I needed the verbage changed on our patient reminders, they were updated as requested. I know our billing has greatly improved since using Mod Med.

**Official Response from Danielle Corrales:**

> Hi Mandi, We're sorry to learn about the challenges you've encountered. We would appreciate the opportunity to look into this. Could you please email us the details at responseteam@modmed.com?

  ### 3. Easy-to-Use, Dependable EHR That Keeps Documentation Efficient

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alisha J. | Regional Practice Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

Easy to use. The exam rooms are easy to navigate and document efficiently. Very rarely does the system go down; dependability of of utmost importance when working with an EHR and ModMed delivers on this.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

Over the last few years it has become increasingly difficult to speak to anyone. We are encouraged to use their online submissions and wait for a response from a team member. This is fine most of the time, but when we having a pressing issue or emergency issue, it is very frustrating. I miss the days of having someone quickly on the other end of the phone and being able to verbalize the issues.

**What problems is ModMed solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ModMed saves us time on coding and updating those codes. They are consistently upgrading and improving the program based on client feedback, which is wonderful.

**Official Response from Madison Fujii:**

> Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We're delighted to know our efforts are making a positive impact, and we appreciate you taking the time to share.

  ### 4. User-Friendly ModMed on iPad with a Clean, Customizable Layout

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

I appreciate ModMed for iPad users being particularly user friendly. I appreciate the clean-cut look on the iPad, especially in the occupied rooms section where filtered providers and preferred rooms are set. I appreciate being able to edit and rearrange icons for testing on the desktop.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I think the biggest frustration has been that ModMed often disconnects or has service issues with the ophthalmic equipment in our offices. We have Zeiss products which are widely/commonly used in ophthalmology. We have been working on an issue where the patient's gender cannot be input into the Zeiss equipment so that we can populate the automatic list of patients for the day.

**What problems is ModMed solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The aforementioned connection issue with Zeiss is being worked on so that we can input the importance piece of information regarding patient gender into the equipment. Often, surgery centers will require this before the patient can even be scheduled for surgery and I know it can cause insurance coverage issues at times. It will benefit us greatly once ModMed can successfully resolve this request.

**Official Response from Madison Fujii:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience. Feedback like yours is not only encouraging but also helps us understand how we can improve.

  ### 5. User-Friendly Dermatology Charting with a Clean, Intuitive Layout

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

It is very user friendly for dermatology. I like how the format of the screen is laid out.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

There are a few short cuts on it that would make my charting faster, but apparently my company will not pay for the upgrades, thus I have to click a few extra buttons to get to the screen I want. I also don't love the anatomy labels...when I click a location on the body, esp the face, it often labels the anatomy not exactly how I would label it, thus I tend to often use the anatomy location over ride button to re'label the location on the body.

**What problems is ModMed solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At this point, there is only one small problem I would like fixed, I want to be able to go into the note without clicking an extra button, but I was told that my company has to "pay for an upgrade" before that can happen. Otherwise, I do not have any problems with Modmed. I don't even think I have learned how to utilize it to it's fullest. I'm sure it has great features I haven't even discovered yet.

**Official Response from Madison Fujii:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience. Feedback like yours helps us understand what we're doing right.

  ### 6. Flexible, Easy-to-Use Notes That Capture Visit Details Perfectly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fern M. | Dermatologist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

The ease of use and the ability to create very unique and detailed notes which are not cookie cutter but actually communicate important details about specific visits. So in short flexible and customizable

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I would love an email capability to directly send referrals and letters rather than only faxes. Also the fax capability is awesome it if I am sending multiple letters to different doctors by fax, it can be cumbersome.

**What problems is ModMed solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since I am now an employee rather than the practice owner this question doesn’t really apply to me. I can no longer see the monthly charges or collections through mod med so I don’t use it for that.

**Official Response from Madison Fujii:**

> Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We're delighted to know our efforts are making a positive impact, and we appreciate you taking the time to share.

  ### 7. Comprehensive EHR with Exceptional Community Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ericka R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

I love that ModMed serves as our EHR system and payment system, consolidating everything into one place, which eliminates the need for separate systems for check-in, patient records, and payments. I also really appreciate ModMed Communities where I can learn a lot about what Modernizing Medicine offers. It's great that I can use it to learn new tools or ask their AI any question about ModMed and always get a great answer. It's definitely more improved and state-of-the-art compared to our previous system, Athena, and the initial setup was very simple and easy to learn.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

Nothing

**What problems is ModMed solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ModMed as our EHR and payment system, consolidating everything into one place, eliminating separate systems for check-in, patient records, and payments.

**Official Response from Madison Fujii:**

> It's wonderful to hear such kind words. We are committed to our clients, and your review is a reminder of why we do what we do.

  ### 8. ModMed Boosts Daily Efficiency with All-in-One Scheduling, Charts, and Patient Info

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanessa L. | Office manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

What I like best about ModMed is that it helps me work more efficiently throughout the day. Having scheduling, charts and patient information all in one system.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

Scanning into the system can be inconsistent at times, and it often takes longer than expected.

**What problems is ModMed solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The specialty workflow makes it easy to document visits and maintain accurate records.

**Official Response from Madison Fujii:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience. We're so happy you're having a positive experience and are grateful for your feedback.

  ### 9. User-Friendly but Needs Real-Time Updates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

I find ModMed user-friendly and easy to learn. There are multiple ways to navigate through the system to get to where you need to go, which I really appreciate.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

I find that ModMed doesn't update in real time. You have to hit the refresh button to see any changes or updates on the schedule. This is especially challenging when we're rescheduling an entire clinic day, and multiple people are using the system. It doesn't reflect the changes that each person makes in real time without refreshing the page continuously.

**What problems is ModMed solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ModMed for scheduling surgeries and consultations. It's user-friendly and easy to navigate, but it doesn't update in real time, which requires manually refreshing to see scheduling changes, causing inconvenience especially when multiple people are using the system.

**Official Response from Madison Fujii:**

> Thank you for your thoughtful review. We strive to provide excellent service, and we're so glad to hear your personal experience.

  ### 10. Efficient Dermatology EMR Charting with ModMed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dimple V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2026

**What do you like best about ModMed?**

I find ModMed very efficient in reducing the time I spend documenting and presenting detailed medical information. I like the quick way it allows me to chart patient records. The clickable findings, ICD 10 codes, prefilled medication list, and coding E/M features are particularly efficient. Although it was initially a work in progress, there was very little difficulty in learning how to set up ModMed.

**What do you dislike about ModMed?**

None

**What problems is ModMed solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find ModMed provides a quick way to chart patient charts, reducing time spent documenting with efficient tools like clickable findings, ICD 10 codes, prefilled medication lists, and E/M coding.

**Official Response from Madison Fujii:**

> Thank you for being an advocate. We're so happy you're having a positive experience and are grateful for your feedback.
