The mind-map feature has capacity that is best in class for this function and this alone is worth the subscription. The Card Block feature allows tagging, linking and opens up to a notepad of contents. These two features alone allow us to do rapid development and deployment of software. Some of the templates they offer are built by ai and are not as functional as one would think. You can't break some things apart largely because they did not think about the reuse of the solution. Miro has been an excellent tool for our team. We implemented is usage with ease and use on a daily basis. Miro is how easy it is for multiple team members to collaborate in one place while keeping everything organized. The board allows us to clearly track programs, staff, open shifts, onboarding and internal transfers in real time, which improves communication and visibility across the team. Miro is user-friendly and offers great fe3atures that support collaboration and efficiency. It has become a valuable resource for keeping everyone aligned and ensuring nothing getting missed. What I dislike about Miro is that to see details clearly, you often have to zoom in, which then cuts off other parts of the board and forces you to move around the screen to view everything. This can make it harder to get a quick, full-picture view of the board at once. Additionally, the inability to easily print the full board is a limitation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Templates make things quite easy for me when I don’t feel like creating them from scratch. I also use it for real time collaboration with others and I no longer send each other attachments via email as if we’re insane. I’m pleasantly surprised it worked w/o crashing when I moved my excel data into the template for an org chart and you can also add pics from the internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Snap To" is garbage and it always puts everything in 90 degree angles that I don’t want. I really wish I could hide those ugly connector lines behind pictures and they never go behind anything. And it is also expensive to subscribe to it and the auto arrange ruins every single layout and I have to redo every layout manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When I first found Miro, it was because I wanted a tool where I could draw out my chain of thoughts or architecture (I'm a software engineer, by the way) where sometimes I would need to go from a big idea and zoom in, and zoom in into the little ideas, like an infinite scroll, so that's one of my main strong points about it, even though it's not infinite. Collaboration is the second main reason to choose it. I use it not only to share thoughts and architecture with my team, but also a lot for training and workshops where I am the teacher, where even people with no previous experience can jump in right away. In my opinion, the most valuable aspect of Miro is its collaboration capabilities with team members. I especially appreciate being able to share boards with different teams while controlling their access levels. That feature is something I truly enjoy. As a designer, I also use Figma, but I prefer to choose different tools depending on the specific task at hand. When it comes to Miro, I can't say that I dislike anything about it, since my needs are quite particular. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Miro is extremely useful for running workshops and other brainstorming/mindmapping activities. The key features I appreciate are:

- Intuitive interface

- Flexibility to be creative in how I express ideas

- How well it handles importing links and multiple media types

More recently I have found the performance of Miro both in browser and app form to be slower than it used to be. I feel like there has potentially been feature-creep which has slowed down the responsiveness of the core interface.

Sometimes diagramming, which is one of my core uses, isn't ideal, such as arrows and lines snapping to the wrong elements of boxes. However I do trust that Miro development is responsive and continually improving things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a remote team, we have the flexibility to work through situations and refine them until we are completely satisfied. This tool successfully brings the collaborative aspects of in-person meetings into an online environment. I find the templates especially helpful—they provide a solid starting point whenever I need inspiration or guidance. Thanks to this, I’ve been able to design and coordinate workshops both within our organization and with external partners smoothly and efficiently. Anyone can jump in and start using it with ease. The templates they provide are usually WAY more than is needed. They offer full end to end solutions when I usually just need an element or a starting point. (the fact that this is the only thing I dislike about Miro says a lot! It's pretty amazing!) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Miro daily for brain dumps, structuring complex information, and collaboration with different stakeholders. As a Manager, it helps me visualize ideas quickly, organize inputs from multiple sources, and align teams during presenations preparation.

I also use it for learning (e.g. studying German), which shows how flexible the tool is.

Miro is a very good concept and extremely useful once you get used to it, especially for collaboration and free-form thinking. That said, it’s not the most intuitive tool at first, and some workflows feel more complex than necessary. What I value most about Miro is its strong support for real-time collaboration. The ability for multiple users to edit simultaneously keeps meetings dynamic and efficient. Clients can easily keep up, thanks to an interface that’s straightforward to navigate. Visual cues such as cursors, highlights, and comments ensure everyone remains aligned throughout the session.

The flexible canvas is another feature that stands out to me. With what feels like limitless space, I can organize sessions naturally, dragging, grouping, and linking ideas without being constrained by layout limitations. This flexibility is particularly helpful when sessions change direction unexpectedly and I need to adjust quickly.

Templates also save me a significant amount of time. While Miro provides a variety of built-in templates, I’ve also developed my own specifically for requirements gathering. We converted from Mindmapper to Miro to simplify our toolset. But there are a couple of features we miss -

No way to change font styles on specific nodes.
