I use Miro to create marketing year-end reviews and collaborate with other teams, like our content writers quarterly meetings. I find the great visualization of all kinds of content very useful. It's a blank space that I can fully customize to my needs and import information from other sources like Jira and Google Docs. I like the user interface; it’s easy to use and learn, and their tutorials are also super helpful. It's great for brainstorming sessions and team retros.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I like how simple and intuitive it is to use. The UI is very straightforward, sharing boards is super easy (even with people who aren’t registered), and everything works directly in the browser without any installation. Real-time collaboration is also a big plus - it feels like everyone is in the same room working together.
Miro is quick to start with since there’s no setup or installation needed. It has plenty of useful features, integrates well with other tools, and I use it regularly for planning and collaboration.

Sometimes the boards get slow or glitchy, especially when they become large. It can feel a bit unreliable at times. Customer support is okay, but onboarding for new users could be smoother.

sometimes the Summarising using the AI capability is not upto mark. I sometimes have to use other AI platform to concatenate the different things from MIro and put it back.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I use Miro for our Safe methodology boards, especially during PI Planning events. I really like how Miro enables smooth visualization of each team plan for the coming six sprints. I love that it can be edited by multiple people at the same time, making it a fun team-building exercise. It really makes the sessions interactive when people from remote sites can still participate, and the whole PI train can see the changes instantly. The visualization was better with Miro compared to our previous tool. The setup was also straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

It's good for simple boards and dependencies but a bit more limited when it comes to complex sequence flows. There could be more sequence templates.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

Over the past period I’ve been using Miro extensively at Deployteq, both internally with colleagues and during brainstorm sessions with clients. What I appreciate most is how effortless it feels to get ideas out of people’s heads and onto a shared canvas. Even team members who aren’t naturally visual thinkers pick it up quickly — the interface is intuitive, the tools are simple, and everyone can participate without technical barriers.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

If I have to mention a downside, it’s that large, complex boards can get a bit slow, especially when many elements are added over time.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Miro, brainstorms and planning sessions often resulted in scattered notes, screenshots, and separate documents. It was easy for context to get lost.

Now, everything lives on a single canvas — ideas, user flows, wireframes, notes, links. Everyone sees the same thing at the same time, which creates instant alignment. No more “Can you send me that file?” or “Where did we put that post-it again?”.

Another issue we had before using Miro, preparing physical workshops used to take a lot of time: formatting slides, printing canvases, arranging activities. Miro allows us to have a framework for workshops that we can use, time and again.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

Miro is an incredibly powerful collaboration tool, especially when working with teams spread across different locations. My team is distributed over three continents, and sessions using Miro are always far more productive and impactful than those that are less structured or rely on working from a deck.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

There is definitely a learning curve. I was never shown how to use Miro, so figuring it out on my own took quite a bit of time and plenty of trial and error. Now, though, I find it much more intuitive than when I first started using it. It's also a tool that I find requires time investment up-front. The process of going from identifying a business challenge that requires cross-team or cross-department collaboration that could benefit from a session in Miro, to building the Miro board that can facilitate that session, can be considerable. Not to say it isn't a good use of time, it always is, but I rarely find the existing templates quite fit my needs (although they often provide inspiration).

t’s incredibly intuitive for brainstorming, planning, and mapping out ideas visually. The templates make it easy to get started, and I love how multiple people can contribute at the same time without anything breaking or lagging. It’s become one of my go-to tools for organizing thoughts and keeping projects moving. Particularly, our email marketing funnels. We use many funnels depending on how the user gets entered into our CRM and Miro helps us keep that organized across teams.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

My biggest struggle is navigation when boards start getting more complex. As workflows expand, it can be hard to keep track of where everything is. I often find myself zooming all the way out and then manually hunting for the section I need, basically relying on memory instead of any built-in guidance. A smarter way to jump between areas or auto-focus on sections would make a huge difference. Other than that, the tool is solid, I just wish the navigation scaled as well as everything else does.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro helps me stay aligned with my team and contractors, especially since we work remotely. Instead of juggling notes, documents, and emails, everything we have live on our email automations lives in one place and is a single source of truth for anyone to reference easily. Without this, it would take me a lot longer to keep email marketing and automations flowing.

I like using Miro because it's the best tool we've found for seamless workflows and integration of different types of media, docs, videos, and links. It's very user-friendly and easy to pick up. I also appreciate that it's easy to share with users outside of my organization. The setup was very easy, and we often integrate it with Google Sheets.

The file organization could be slightly better. The spaces work well but they get a little messy since we have a different space for each client we work with.

I wish that there was a way to export sections as a JPEG or PDF for distributing them. For example, our company hierarchy chart was something we just screenshotted instead of exporting and I wish I could have gotten it in higher resolution.

Honestly, I am just glad that when I move a sticky note it will move for all of the other users at the same time (as well as quickly) and not cause the whole app to freeze which was something I didn't expect. I find the timer useful as it encourages people to stop talking during retrospectives and I also appreciate that the templates allow me to not start from ground zero each time I want to create something new and when I'm exhausted.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

The zooming features do act a little flaky at times; occasionally, I'll scroll through a page and find myself floating somewhere in a white void 3 miles removed from the original material. The process of sharing the board is intimidating as well and every single time I think I'm going to accidentally sign up for a hundred additional seats simply by clicking share with a freelance developer.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilize it for remote ideation sessions due to our inability to utilize a physical whiteboard anymore and it helps us avoid sending an overwhelming number of email attachments back and forth to each other. It essentially functions as a life line to keep me sane while attempting to explain a user flow to someone who is not in the same room.

I like the ease of use of Miro and how the interface flows. I can add, remove, and edit different tools and elements on the screen, which allows me to do exactly what I have planned and show it the way I want. Also, the new artificial intelligence and meeting tools make it easier to conduct workshops and present information. Not only can I create, but I can also share, improve, and collaborate with others on a common project or idea.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Yes, perhaps something I would improve about Miro is the ability to create more customized elements or shapes. Generally, we have a limited list of geometric elements, like circles and rectangles with rounded edges. If I wanted to create a shape different from the standard ones, I can't; I would have to combine shapes, and it becomes a bit complicated for me. So, it could have a shape creation module to sometimes contain information in a different way.

I have used Miro for multiple projects, and I find the flow feature to be a game changer for building connected pathways. It's incredibly useful when mapping donor journeys or multi-phase campaigns, transforming complex documents or spreadsheets into something interactive. I love how collaborative Miro feels amongst my team. The ability to zoom in and out is something I use constantly, allowing me to keep a high-level view of an entire year of work while also focusing on specific workstreams without losing context. I appreciate how well it integrates with other tools, documents, links, and visuals. The voting features during brainstorming with stickies are something I really enjoy, as they take the social pressure out of prioritization and provide a clear direction based on collective input.

A few things stand out: the learning curve for new users can be real. When someone joins a board for the first time, there's often a moment of overwhelm I have found amongst my team. Boards also can tend to get cluttered over time, and easier ways to archive or collapse older sections would make a big difference in long-running projects. And the integrations, while useful, can feel surface level at times.

Miro provides a space to 'brain dump' a large amount of information and refine it over time. Having all the project mapping or ideation session content visible in one place, and then distilling it into a concrete plan of action, makes it much easier to demonstrate to stakeholders and subject matter experts the reasoning behind the process and how the final result was reached.

Where Miro truly stands out is in sharing boards with the wider team, gathering their input, and further refining the content together. This collaborative approach supports achieving business goals and strategies. It also makes it much easier for people to visualize the plan directly on the board, which can then be exported for inclusion in a slide deck or PDF. This feature is especially valuable when you need to communicate a finalized plan to the business—in my case, to as many as 150,000 employees.

I like the way I can arrange my thoughts. with every passing day i am exploring new features and I am excited to do things in mind. It is very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

There are certain features that I believe would make my work easier. I haven't fully explored the application yet, so it's possible that my difficulties are simply due to not having discovered all its options. For instance, I would like to fit a mind map to a specific page size, such as A4 or A3, but I haven't found a way to do this. As a result, I end up enlarging the exported file or diagram, which then becomes blurry even when set to high quality.

I really like that Miro has multiple tools available in one place for me to use, instead of having to navigate and use multiple tools. The recent addition of AI tools is just excellent, especially for creating PowerPoint presentations. I just ask Miro to create slides, and it does a great job. It actually creates beautiful slides from a script I provide. It really simplifies and enhances my work process. The initial setup of Miro was also seamless and took less than a minute. I use Miro alongside Microsoft Teams, which works well for me.

I really like the ease of use of Miro, as drawing, graphing, and diagramming become relatively simple, allowing me to replace the use of physical boards or manual writing. Additionally, it is an excellent tool for sharing ideas clearly and organizing data flows and table relationships. Miro allows me to create visual diagrams before transferring the processes to Python code, making my work much more efficient.

I would like to improve the layer part. When I work on large projects, I end up having a lot of layers belonging to different products. It would be good to have a large master layer that accumulates the sub-layers of each process to explain and see everything in an easier graphical way.

I like how user-friendly Miro is and, most of all, how smooth it runs. I've used similar apps in the past that always get very glitchy and laggy when you have a lot of text on them. But Miro is always very smooth and keeps things very clean. I just love how smooth it is and I'm definitely gonna recommend Miro to future colleagues and friends who are looking for an easy way to organize their ideas.

They should work on their ability to save things as a PDF in a smarter way. Saving things as a PDF now, it’s very hard for anyone to kind of decode what's on the PDF. So since Miro utilizes AI, like, why not have a way for it to organize your ideas or save things as a PDF in a way that's easier for people who prefer things to be in a more robust format.

I love the sticky notes in Miro; they are very true to reality. The tagging system on the sticky notes helps me quickly organize a lot of information. I also appreciate all of the templates, the ability to paste links, and multimedia content, as well as the wireframing templates that exist in Miro. Miro has replaced all other multimedia content collection and mood boarding platforms I might use; it's the best option. It's the best option for sharing wireframes with a large group that doesn't know how to use something like Figma. Miro is like pen and paper systems, supercharged.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

The personal plans or free plans are very limited. I would love it if there were easier ways to incorporate people from outside of my organization into our organization's boards, maybe as a guest, without adding them to our permanent team. The team system can be kind of hard to navigate for people who don't have a Miro account and can cost a lot if we click the wrong thing. I am not a huge fan of the AI systems on Miro. I haven't found that they work for me, and it is not very stimulating to the creativity that I find in using templates made by people or creating a template from scratch.

What I like best about Miro is how easy it is to jump in and start diagramming without a long learning curve. The interface feels intuitive, and simple things like dragging shapes, snapping to grids, and using shortcuts make it fast to build clean diagrams.

From an implementation point of view, it is very straightforward: I can open a board in the browser, invite teammates, and we are collaborating in real time without installing heavy software or dealing with complex setup. Customer support has been excellent in my experience. When I requested the student plan, they reviewed and approved my application the same day, which really impressed me and showed they care about helping students access the platform quickly.

I use Miro frequently for software engineering work: architecture diagrams, database schemas, app models, and general brainstorming. The wide range of templates and technical shapes means I rarely need another tool for UML-style diagrams or system maps.

I constantly have some terrible experience with logging into the app, specifically the login, with email and other methods. It's always very difficult. Every time I open the app, there are a bunch of pop-up windows, everything is very complicated. I don't like this about Miro. In Miro, every time you open it, there are some cookies: Accept, accept, choose email, log in, again, go there, more pop-up windows, it's always very inconvenient. The first login and initial setup are very difficult. In Figma, I logged in once and can use it all the time.

Wonderful tool for online training for both the presenter and the participant. Ability to collaborate in real time. Can share the screen on Zoom and/or have participants go to the board directly. Two trainers can also collaborate in developing the content. Seems like a short learning curve for participants to use. Hint: have them do something Miro before they start the training (i.e. introduce themselves) to get used to the locations of the various features.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I love Miro's versatility; it’s one of my favorite things about it. I can use it for many different purposes, like conducting kickoff sessions with stakeholders, building affinity diagrams, and facilitating workshops and internal training sessions. The templates are quite useful, especially the Kanban board, which I usually go back to. They're basically accelerators that save me time since I don't have to create them from scratch. The AI feature has been helpful too, even if the results weren’t as perfect as I wanted—it still gave me a good idea for presenting and building diagrams. I appreciate how Miro caters to my colleagues who have a visual mindset, helping them process and digest information better.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

When the boards get really big, it's hard to navigate. It becomes slow. Also, finding information is quite limited. If I search for a keyword, it shows me every place where that keyword appears, and the only filter that I have is the type of element where that keyword is. For example, I can say I just want to find this keyword in sticky notes. But I think those are quite limited search filters.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Miro for kickoff sessions and affinity diagrams, making it easy to visualize data connections. It’s also great for workshops and training. The templates, like the Kanban board, and AI features help accelerate my workflow, catering to our team's visual mindset.

The adaptability, The neutral design of Miro allows you to truly iterate and create an universal ideation space, that is difficult to match in a physical setting. This allows endless possibilities for all design sectors to design, develop, and collaborate in real time, anywhere you have access to a computer. This is the most crucial aspect when it comes to remote work in design careers, the ability to see a full design process, like its on the table Infront of you (if the table was infinitely wide and long!)

No negatives except when the program is laggy, or I reach a board limit, but one board is counted twice.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When a project manager is traveling for another project, it can be challenging to effectively manage and support a productive design environment for proposal development. Usually, the PM is left out of the loop while on the move. However, this space enables a project manager to thoroughly contribute feedback and design ideas whenever and wherever coordination is required.

I use Miro for brainstorming and project solution design. I like that it allows cross-functional teams to visualize workflows, which reduces gaps and ensures alignment and scope. I appreciate the ease of use of the interface and templates. The consistent UX and the frames feature make it easy to organize working diagrams, parking lot ideas, and other artifacts. The templates are great for inspiration and quick setup. The initial setup of Miro was very easy.

I think the ability to export to Mermaid would be good as well as better export options for large diagrams to make printing easier. There's also a bit of a learning curve for people new to Miro.

I really like its flexibility in terms of user permissions and access. I can add multiple people to a board, whether they are paying users or guests, and still have a really collaborative session.

The pre-built templates are incredibly helpful. I use them often.

Miro feels like a standalone product, and a lot of the collaborative work has to be transposed into a more condensed/readable/shareable format for the wider business. We have to duplicate action items into our work management tool, or get a summary to put into Slack.

We often do retros on customers - How did we win the deal, what did we learn, why did they churn.

We often do retros on our internal processes - What went wrong, how can we improve, what would a new process look like?

We often use it for planning future initiatives, product roadmap, etc.

I use Miro for conducting sessions with my team, making flow charts, defining process flows, keeping competitor analysis organized, sprint retros, and roadmaps. It allows for easy collaboration, recording process flows, and documenting governance, which is really beneficial for my work. I find Miro easy to use, and I like that creating flow charts, process flows, and journey mapping are super easy tasks within it. The initial setup was smooth, which made transitioning to Miro a hassle-free experience.

Creating and maintaining the roadmap has been a major painpoint.

I generally use Miro to make diagrams or graphically capture ideas, and it is especially valuable during team sessions for feedback or brainstorming. I deeply appreciate how easy and versatile it is to use Miro; it eliminates any learning curve and allows for immediate results, which I can integrate directly into other services. I admire the teamwork capability that Miro offers, as I can see how my colleagues move around the board, and the incredible versatility it provides for working with any type of objects, removing limitations for generating complex schemes. The platform is as if it reads my mind, anticipating my desires with automatic alignments and precise connections, along with artificial intelligence aids to polish drafts or generate templates from descriptions, which saves a considerable amount of time. I love how it integrates effortlessly with tools like Google Drive, Notion, Confluence, and Slack, and its initial setup is really simple, I just needed to log in with my Google account, set up my organization, and invite my colleagues via email. Overall, I consider Miro to be extremely efficient and easy to use, which leads me to recommend it with a score of 10 on a scale of 1 to 10.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I feel that although the range of possibilities and the library of resources is broad, the platform fails in having a very limited set of templates. Almost all examples or schemes from templates or AI end up being the same, showing little originality and a lot of repetitiveness. This forces me to be unnecessarily creative, and sometimes I have to carry out a significant refactoring of the default diagram offered, in which case it might be better to start a project from scratch.

I use Miro to graphically express ideas and collaborate in a team. Its ease of use and versatility eliminate the learning curve, allow integration of results into other services, and offer automatic aids and alignments that save considerable time.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I love how Miro gives you a feeling of like having a unlimited Place, to Put down your Ideas, Workflows and Ideas on Paper. I usually prefer to use it during the workshops where my team is mostly remote, and we can contribute together to the Ideas, and can see there cursor actually moving in real time. Additionally, It also offers a learning centre where you can actually learn from your Use Cases Point of view.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Nothing to dislike honestly, but sometimes Miro feels overwhelming with so many features, and I personally feel like I don't use it to its full potetional.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro Made the collobration/Brainstorming sessions so fun especially when most of your team is remote, It makes the Teamwork easy. Previosuly - Visio/ Power Point presentations used which were so boring, and didn't really had the same impact as Miro dose. Miro allows us to pasted screenshots, Diagrams, Notes, Links and it litreally has infinte board we can everything in one board. Miro helps to simplyfy the complex business process and show connections in a better way.
