We build high-traffic retail architecture, data validation pipelines, and digital storefronts for enterprise clients on Azure. Cloud infrastructure bloat is a massive hidden cost in e-commerce, and Minimus acts as our primary cloud optimization engine. By integrating it directly into our deployment pipeline, it helped us remove unwanted libraries from the OD. This drastically reduced our Azure registry storage fees and minimized data egress costs when moving heavy routing configurations between staging and production environments. The aggressive stripping of base OS utilities makes live production debugging very difficult. Because Minimus removes tools like bash and curl, my taxonomy engineers can’t easily shell into a misbehaving pod to run database diagnostics when a weekly categorization script fails. We ended up having to mandate complex sidecar logging patterns just to regain the visibility we used to have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
