What do you like best about minicom?

It is suitable for different operating systems that means it is like platform free application. Therefore, I can use it on my Linux machine and for other devices which are based on the Linux kernel. Especially, it is the most helpful application in order to access my device, which is based on Embedded Linux via serial communication with RS232. What do you dislike about minicom?

It is handy for people who like to use the terminal. Therefore, it will not be much more helpful for people who want GUI. In the beginning, it could be a little be hard to personalize the settings. Recommendations to others considering minicom:

It could be the most beneficial tool to access devices/systems without using a graphical user interface. Minicom is an essential tool for Linux developers. The serial console is vital for working with the bootloader on Embedded Linux-based systems when you do not have access to boot service via SSH or other internet access-based methods. What problems is minicom solving and how is that benefiting you?
