I started out using free products like Xmind, I think, many years ago, to mindmap projects, but over time, I felt I needed something more Mac OS compatible and that was better maintained. The people who build Mindnode clearly care about it and have put a lot of thought into every piece of it. I like the automatic syncing, the SPEED of it with larger files, and more. I wouldn't hesitate to dump a ton of files for planning a wedding, a renovation, or anything else inside of it. I do find that the design of it is a little less professional than it could be in a few places. I like that it's bubbly and colourful, but at the same time, the default being that way means that almost all my professional documents are purple and pink etc., which isn't exactly the best choice every time.
