"Best Video and Audio Conferencing Tool"

What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?

With the Microsoft teams, the things which work best are many as compare to any other video and audio conferencing tools, which are nowadays getting easily compromised and messing up the whole meeting environment.

With the security, the best parts are which I like and use more of Teams are Dark and Light mode, which is by the way the best new trending feature.

The assistant bots helps in automating our load of manual work, which is very beneficial to the organization and a trendsetter for the chatbots in this digital world.

Easy sharing of files over the chats makes it really convenient and saves lots of email drafting.

Virtual backgrounds are the best feature that they have added for conducting the video conferencing very smoothly in this time of COVID situation since everyone is working from home majorly and this feature really helped for maintaining the decorum of the meeting.

One more feature which I would like to add to this as a developer, where we have the freedom of adding the "CODE SNIPPET" with most of the supporting formats of CSS, HTML, JAVASCRIPT, JAVA, C, C++, JSON, and many more where it makes it easier to share the code snippet among the developers where it will follow a proper indentation and not compromising the code quality, making it easy to read and understand.

Screen sharing and access control are very easy and flexible with this tool, where we can work very smoothly even we are not sitting together with the colleagues in the office. This feature never let this thing feels missing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?

There is nothing specific to dislike much about this tool because it has given the far best performance in terms of quality, user-friendly interface, and security.

But one thing which I have seen as the major difference between Desktop User Interface and Mobile User Interface which I would like the developers to add for desktop as well, i.e., in mobile applications, we can reply to the specific text by swiping right or left so that it makes the conversation more intellectual and precise, which is not the case with a desktop interface.

Though desktop gives more options like Immersive Reader, Share on Outlook but then as a user who is using this for the past 2 years in the organization, I felt the addition of this feature would be the cherry on the cake for this tool, since sometimes in the group chats we can't reply to the specific person, but has to use either @mentioning for that.

What problems is Microsoft Teams solving and how is that benefiting you?

Majorly this tool is not all about audio and video conferencing itself. It has not been narrowed down to these things but has many broader aspects which makes it unique from the other tools of the same domain.

As mentioned in the above column, I am a developer and the main benefit which I have observed from this tool are, adding our code into the chat with the "CODE SNIPPET" format with most of the supporting formats of CSS, HTML, JAVASCRIPT, JAVA, C, C++, JSON, and many more where it makes it easier to share the code snippet among the developers.

Otherwise adding the code in normal text format looks very ugly and when copy-pasting the same in our code editors need external formatting.

Screen sharing is common in all, but a smooth transition in access control made our work very easy in this work from home situation.

Adding assistant bots in our organization with MS Teams, helped us to maintain regular attendance, where our employees get a message with a form from our assistant bot, and they have to enter the normal details which we use it for further process, escaping the need of external software or mails.

These assistant bots added by our organization help us to raise the incidents related to our assets or any service-related issues easily from those bots themselves.

Virtual backgrounds are the life saviour in this situation, where we can hide our messy house and won't look bad as well in the meeting :D Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
