  ### 2. Strong Enterprise Video Conferencing with a User-Friendly UI and Real-Time Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prasanna Kumar D. | IT admin, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?**

it gives strong video conference for enterprise uses and moreover it supports seamless performance and interactions among people. and i like the UI which is most attractive and user friendly where a new user can easily understand the workflow. and talking about real time collaboration where the users can simultaneously edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations is a fantastic feature of microsoft teams. It is more suitable for scheduling meetings, status indicators, shared calendars, and many more where these are most helpful during the covid times.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?**

the most frustrating is that it uses more ram and memory which causes my pc overheated and my laptop battery drains so fast and moreover it lags during meetings.

**What problems is Microsoft Teams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

before microsoft teams i used email, phone, whatsapp, zoom and other apps to communicate with people, after MS teams it combined all those application features into one platform where i can save most of my time here.

  ### 3. Great for Team Collaboration, But Bulky and Slow to Sync Messages

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham V. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?**

Overall, it’s a great application in the Microsoft environment that helps keep all team members in one place, connected, and aware of what’s going on. Group meetings are a bliss with Teams; it includes noise cancellation for meetings, call-outs for team members, planning, and a lot more. I also like the calendar and activity planning features, plus the communities and people connections that feel a bit like a social network.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?**

It’s a little bulky and can be slow sometimes. Messages also take too long to show up—sometimes hours or so. It doesn’t feel very optimized compared with other options like Google Meet and WhatsApp, and the features aren’t nearly as good as Zoom or Discord.

**What problems is Microsoft Teams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, Teams is really great for connecting people from different groups and communities. We use it all the time to hold meetings, plan events, and manage calendars and activities—it's just nice having everything to collaborate together in one place. It makes it super easy to share files, stay connected, and keep everyone updated on what's going on.

The UI/UX is surprisingly simple and intutive for everyone to pick up without much training. My biggest gripe is just that it lacks major integrations that the google environment provides, which can be annoying if you use both.

Still, cant complain too much since the pricing is free! Plus it obviously supports all the microsoft based tools and the microsoft suite perfectly. Right now the AI and intelegence features are pretty low, but I'm guessing it mght get microsoft copilot integrated sometime in the future. Pretty solid tool overall.

  ### 4. Good Communication Tool for Remote Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nirmal P. | Subject Matter Expert, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?**

I mainly use Microsoft Teams to communicate with reviewers, auditors, and other members of our content team. Since a lot of my work involves creating and fixing dynamic math templates, there are frequent discussions around reviewer comments, template behavior, validation issues, and project updates. Teams makes these conversations much easier because I can quickly send screenshots, jump on a call, or share my screen when something is difficult to explain through text. One thing I particularly like is that project discussions don't get lost as easily as they do in email. If a reviewer points out an issue in a template, I can usually find the conversation later along with the files and screenshots that were shared. We also use Teams meetings regularly, and the call quality has generally been reliable for day-to-day work. The integration with Microsoft 365 is another benefit because documents can be shared and reviewed without much effort. While there are still times when notifications become overwhelming in active projects, Teams has become a tool that I use throughout the workday and would find difficult to replace.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?**

One thing I don't like about Teams is that notifications can get a bit overwhelming when multiple projects are active at the same time. Since I work with reviewers and auditors regularly, there are days when a lot of messages, mentions, and meeting updates come in together, and it's easy to miss something important. I also feel that finding older conversations could be better. Sometimes I remember discussing a template issue or reviewer comment a few weeks ago, but it takes longer than expected to locate the exact chat or message. The search works, but not always the way I expect. Another minor issue is that the desktop app can occasionally feel slow when many chats and meetings are open. Microsoft has also been adding more AI features, which are interesting, but I still find myself relying on the actual conversations and meeting notes most of the time. None of these are deal-breakers for me because Teams is still a tool I use every day, but improving search, notification management, and some of the newer AI features would make it even better.

**What problems is Microsoft Teams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we started relying heavily on Teams, a lot of discussions were spread across emails and different messages, which made it harder to track feedback and follow up on issues. In my role, I regularly work with reviewers and auditors on dynamic math templates, so quick communication is important whenever a template needs corrections or clarification. Teams has helped centralize those discussions. If a reviewer reports an issue, I can usually get clarification quickly through chat, share screenshots, or jump on a short call instead of waiting hours for email responses. It has reduced back-and-forth communication and made review cycles faster. One practical benefit is that project discussions, files, and feedback stay together, so less time is spent searching for information. On busy projects, this easily saves me several hours over the course of a week and helps us move content through review and approval stages more efficiently.

  ### 5. A reliable tool for seamless meetings and team collaboration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Soumyajit B. | Jr. Product Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?**

Microsoft Teams makes client meetings seamless — the video and audio quality is consistently reliable. The meeting link system is straightforward, and joining calls requires no extra setup on our end. It integrates well with Outlook calendars, making scheduling with external clients easy.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?**

The app feels heavy and slow to load compared to lighter alternatives. Since we primarily use Google Workspace, switching to Teams for client calls adds friction — notifications and calendar sync don't always work smoothly across ecosystems. The interface can also feel cluttered for users who only need it for meetings.

**What problems is Microsoft Teams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Teams centralizes our meetings, calls, and team communication in one place, which solves the problem of scattered tools and missed conversations. It keeps everyone connected whether they're in the office or remote, making collaboration smoother. Scheduling and joining meetings is quick and reliable, which saves time and keeps projects moving without communication gaps slowing things down.

  ### 6. Microsoft Teams Simplifies Collaboration with Powerful Built-In Features and AI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanjivani B. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?**

The way it makes communication simple and effective with multiple built-in features really stands out. It brings communication, collaboration, and productivity into one platform, making day-to-day work much easier by combining chat, video meetings, file sharing, task collaboration, and integrations in a single application. Instead of switching between multiple tools, teams can manage everything in one place, which saves time and improves collaboration.

The platform performs very well for both small and large teams. Video meetings are stable, screen sharing works smoothly, and file collaboration is reliable even during busy work hours. Features like meeting recording, live captions, background effects, and organized channels help create a professional and productive work environment.

Another major advantage is the AI functionality integrated in Microsoft teams through microsoft copilot and other smart productivity features.

The support and onboarding experience is also very good. Microsoft provides detailed documentation, tutorials, community forums, and enterprise-level support options that make it easy for the team to adapt to the platform.

From the pricing perspective, microsoft teams offer strong value because it is included with many microsoft 365 subscription plans.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?**

One of the major drawbacks is performance and resource usage. Teams can consume a significant amount of RAM and CPU, which can sometimes make the application feel slow and laggy, particularly during video meetings and screen sharing. On older systems or with weaker internet connections, users may experience delays, freezing, or reduced call quality.

Notification management is another area that could be improved. In an active organization with multiple teams and channels, notifications can quickly become overwhelming. Important updates may get buried under constant message alerts, mentions, and meeting reminders, making it difficult to stay focused and prioritize conversations effectively.

**What problems is Microsoft Teams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Teams solves several communication and collaboration problems that organizations commonly face, especially in remote and hybrid work environments. Before using Teams, managing communication across email, separate meeting apps, file-sharing tools, and chat often created confusion and slowed productivity. Microsoft Teams brings all these functions together in one platform, making collaboration more organized and effective.

One of the biggest benefits is centralized communication. Teams allows instant messaging, video meetings, calls, and file sharing within a single application, which reduces the need to switch between multiple tools throughout the day.

The platform also addresses the challenges of remote collaboration. Team members can work together from different locations while staying connected through video conferencing, screen sharing, and real-time document collaboration. Integration with Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook makes it easy to edit files collaboratively without leaving the platform, which saves time and improves workflow efficiency.

  ### 7. Reliable platform for team collaboration and meetings

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anup P. | Campaign Management-CRM, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?**

Microsoft Teams has made communication and collaboration much easier for our team. I like how chats, meetings, file sharing, and task coordination are all available in one platform. The integration with Outlook and other Microsoft tools is very helpful and saves time during daily work. Overall, it is reliable, user-friendly, and works well for remote collaboration.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?**

One thing I dislike about Microsoft Teams is that the app can sometimes feel heavy and slow, especially when switching between chats, meetings, and channels. Notifications are also inconsistent, and it is easy to miss messages in busy group conversations. While the platform has many features, the interface can occasionally feel cluttered for new users.

**What problems is Microsoft Teams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Microsoft Teams, we struggled to manage communication across multiple tools for meetings, chats, and file sharing, which often led to delays and missed updates. After implementing Teams, we were able to centralize collaboration in one platform, making communication faster and project coordination more organized. This has improved response times, reduced dependency on emails, and helped our team work more efficiently in remote and hybrid environments.

  ### 8. Frictionless Microsoft 365 Integration That Strengthens Secure Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aswindev P. | Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?**

What I like best about Microsoft Teams is its native, frictionless integration with the Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystem. Because the platform is built directly on top of Microsoft Entra ID and SharePoint, it completely eliminates the need to manage disparate identity providers or configure complex, third-party SAML mappings for user lifecycle provisioning. This architecture allows us to seamlessly enforce strict Conditional Access policies, automate compliance governance via Microsoft Purview, and ingest communication telemetry directly into Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and our centralized SIEM. Ultimately, Teams minimizes vendor sprawl by turning enterprise collaboration into a secure, easily auditable extension of our existing identity and cloud infrastructure perimeter.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?**

What frustrates me most as an engineer is that Teams isn't really a standalone application; it is a highly complex, interdependent UI wrapper sitting on top of SharePoint, Exchange, and Entra ID. When a synchronization error occurs, a file permission breaks, or compliance archiving fails, troubleshooting isn't localized to a single dashboard it requires digging through multiple disparate administrative centers and tracing logs across the entire Microsoft 365 backend.

Furthermore, the platform's default architecture inherently encourages massive M365 Group and SharePoint site sprawl. Without immediate and aggressive governance policies, end-users will quickly turn the tenant into an unmanageable junkyard of abandoned sites, forcing infrastructure teams to build complex PowerShell runbooks for automated lifecycle management and expiration policies. Finally, even with the transition to the "New Teams" (moving from Electron to WebView2), we still frequently battle client-side cache corruption and resource hoarding. This forces us to deploy automated cache-clearing scripts via Intune or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) just to keep the desktop clients functioning reliably at scale.

**What problems is Microsoft Teams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Teams is primarily solving the enterprise challenge of securing decentralized collaboration and reigning in shadow IT across hybrid work environments. By acting as a unified front-end for the entire Microsoft 365 stack, it allows infrastructure teams to consolidate voice, video, persistent chat, and now agentic AI workflows under a single, highly regulated data boundary. The direct benefit to me as an L3 engineer is the profound simplification of our security and compliance operations. Instead of manually auditing disparate third-party communication tools, I can leverage native Microsoft Purview policies to automate Data Loss Prevention (DLP), sensitivity labeling, and eDiscovery across all channels and files simultaneously. Furthermore, because Teams relies entirely on Entra ID for authentication and feeds its telemetry directly into Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), we can instantly enforce strict conditional access policies such as blocking unmanaged devices or isolating malicious files without dealing with fragile, third-party API integrations, which significantly accelerates our incident response times.

  ### 9. Keeps Communication and Daily Work Organised in One Place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mina B. | Assistant Financial Accountant, Food & Beverages, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?**

it keeps communication and daily work organised in one place.
As an Assistant Financial Accountant, I use Teams to quickly contact colleagues, follow up on month-end tasks, share files, join meetings, and keep track of conversations without relying on endless email chains, because apparently humanity needed a whole platform to stop “just checking in” emails from multiplying.
I especially like the channels and chat history, as they make it easier to find previous discussions, updates, and shared documents when working on reconciliations, reporting tasks, or resolving finance queries. It helps the team respond faster and stay aligned, especially when people are working from different locations.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?**

Sometimes Microsoft Teams can feel a bit overwhelming when there are too many chats, channels, notifications, and meeting reminders happening at the same time.

Also, file sharing is useful, but finding the latest version of a document can sometimes be confusing if people share files in different chats or channels.

**What problems is Microsoft Teams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Teams helps solve the problem of scattered communication by keeping chats, meetings, calls, and shared files in one place.
As an Assistant Financial Accountant, it benefits me because I can quickly follow up with colleagues about reconciliations, month-end tasks, invoice queries, approvals, and reporting deadlines without waiting for long email chains. It also makes remote or hybrid working much smoother, since I can join meetings, share screens, and discuss issues in real time

  ### 10. Microsoft Teams Streamlines Collaboration with Seamless Microsoft 365 Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Praveen P. | Partnership Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?**

Microsoft Teams’ ability to combine file sharing, collaboration, meetings, and communication into a single platform is what I find most appealing. It makes team coordination much easier, especially when I’m overseeing multiple projects and managing cross-functional conversations. Features like channels, screen sharing, and meeting recordings support day-to-day collaboration and productivity, and the integration with Microsoft 365 apps feels smooth.

I also like that I can use Teams and channels simply to post updates and reply within threads to keep conversations moving. If I miss a message, it will send an email notification with the person’s response, which helps me stay on top of ongoing discussions.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?**

One thing I dislike about Microsoft Teams is that it can sometimes feel resource-heavy, especially during long calls or when I have multiple apps and chats open at the same time. Notifications and message threads can also get overwhelming in larger teams, which makes it harder to keep track of the most important updates. From time to time, the app’s performance and syncing across devices could be smoother and more consistent.

Sometimes when it comes to messages it even breaks down, and messages fail to send, so I have to try again.

**What problems is Microsoft Teams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By bringing chats, meetings, calls, and file sharing together in one platform, Microsoft Teams helps address communication and collaboration challenges. It has noticeably improved team coordination and reduced the need to switch between multiple tools. Especially when working with cross-functional teams and remote stakeholders, it has improved response times, made project discussions more streamlined, and helped maintain clearer visibility into tasks, assignments, and ongoing updates.

With the Copilot integration, it also provides summaries of calls and meetings, which saves a lot of time.
