What do you like best about Microsoft Teams?

I use Microsoft Teams at Yebehir Marketing for internal team communication, project channels, and client meetings, and have for over a year.

What I value most is having chat, meetings, and files in one place. Each client project has its own channel, so conversations, shared files, and updates stay organized instead of getting lost in email. I can move from a chat to a video call in one click, which makes quick team check-ins easy.

The interface is familiar and easy to navigate, and the mobile app lets me reply and join calls on the go. Performance has been solid. Calls stay stable on average internet connections, and background noise suppression keeps meetings clear.

Integrations are a big strength. Teams works smoothly with Outlook for scheduling, and OneDrive and SharePoint let us co-edit campaign documents directly inside channels without downloading files. Adding Planner to channels helps us track tasks for each client.

Onboarding was quick since it’s part of our Microsoft 365 setup, and Microsoft’s help resources answered our questions about channel permissions. Because it’s included in our subscription, the value is strong compared to paying for separate chat and meeting tools.

Copilot’s meeting recaps add real value. After client calls, I get a summary with key points and action items, so I don’t need to take detailed notes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Teams?

The desktop app can feel heavy. It uses a lot of memory and battery, and on older laptops it sometimes slows down other apps during long meetings with screen sharing.

Notifications can be overwhelming. With multiple channels and chats active, important messages sometimes get buried, and fine-tuning notification settings for each channel takes time.

File organization can also be confusing. Files shared in chats are stored in OneDrive, while channel files go to SharePoint, so finding a specific document later isn't always straightforward. Search works, but it doesn't always surface the exact message or file I'm looking for.

External clients sometimes have trouble joining meetings or chats when they use different organization accounts, which occasionally delays calls.

Copilot recaps are useful, but they sometimes miss context or assign action items to the wrong person, so I review them before sharing. Access to Copilot also depends on the plan, which adds cost.

Overall, these are minor issues compared to how much Teams improves our collaboration. A lighter app and simpler file management would make the biggest difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
