  ### 1. What we have

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Defense & Space | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

It is better than nothing. The military struggles with purchasing tools. They'll buy $100M airplanes, but not much software for their engineers. We are lucky to have sharepoint. Most other online tools are blocked.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

The slow speed and most of the other features are turned off on our classified and unclassified systems.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

Identify bottlenecks in your network to assure user acceptance.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

File storage and collaboration

  ### 2. My review of Sharepoint

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

I love the fact that this software allows a host of third-party software integrations. This enhances the feature flexibility to a whole new level beyond any of its competitors.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

The software is quite expensive as compared to its competitors. The software installation process is not intuitive and requires expert assistance.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project document management is done entirely with this software along with collaboration with remote team members.

  ### 3. Sharepoint enhances business communications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2018

Sharepoint is so simple and easy to use. Training time is minimal to add new users.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

I wish that you could preview that documents within SharePoint so that I could browse easier when I am looking forward a specific document.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

It is great for document management in any company. It really makes sharing information much easier without having to get caught up in long email threads.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharepoint allows all of the people in our department to be able to access documents in one place without having to sort through emails or getting them lost in various shared folders.

  ### 5. Great tool for sharing files

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francisco C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

Sherepoint is a perfect platform for hosting files without excessively using your computer's memory. In my opinion, the best thing about this platform is its customization capability, which means you can edit your own components and create "customized" applications.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

The truth is that I have nothing to criticize about this program. What I like the least, perhaps, is that the paid application has a rather high cost for a small company.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

If you use the Office package (Microsoft), with Sharepoint you can edit all your documents online, without needing to download them. It is one of the great advantages of this tool.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my company, I always used Sharepoint to exchange sensitive files with clients in a controlled manner. It also helps to solve the problem of having little space available for information storage.

  ### 6. Sharepoint review

Used for sharing feedback through surveys within the organization

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

It requires an active LAN Connection to access it

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

I strongly recommend it

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing and accessing relevant information within the organization.

  ### 7. Sharepoint is very beneficial for collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

Sharepoint is extremely easy to use and requires very little technical expertise. It is amazing for working in groups.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

Sharepoint can be difficult at times if you share your file with too many people because all of those people may create edits you do not want.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

Make sure you only allow editing access to those who you really trust with your files.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the problem of teamwork. It is so much easier than using Google Drive or something where the formatting gets messed up. SharePoint allows you to easily share word files.

  ### 8. This software is confusing

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2019

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

The interface and dashboard are confusing and hard to navigate. Nothing is intuitive.

It is a good work around for Dropbox, which is blocked at my work.

  ### 9. Document Sharing via SharePoint

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew W. | Consulting Associate, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

I like that it serves as a central source for teams to store all of their documents and data that they are working on. It makes it easy to share documents with other members of your team without having to email them and have them get lost in a cluttered inbox.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

Finding a document on SharePoint can sometimes be a task if you don't know exactly where it is because all the folders get cluttered and the search functionality isn't always the best tool.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using SharePoint as a document sharing platform for current and past work that has been done for various projects. I find it useful having just joined this new team to be able to go back and look at previous tasks that are similar to mine to get a feel for how to go about completing them and having examples to look back at for formatting and what information needs to be included.

  ### 10. Good for secure documents

  ### 12. Very tedious to update websites

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Relations | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

It can be easy to create the websites and I like how there are different web objects already built in.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

It is tedious to update the websites. My workplace disabled SharePoint Designer which makes it extremely hard to create a good looking SharePoint site. I would just like a WYSIWYG HTML editor.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

Have your company allow SharePoint Designer

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am putting mental health clinic information, staff listings, and resources we offer on our SharePoint

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

I like the tracking feature within documents. I can tell who last opened a document and see recent activity.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

If working on a document I did not learn how to keep that work private. Sometimes I would create documents that other members on the team should not be aware of i.e. terminations, wage increases, it would cause me to create documents outside of SharePoint and store outside of SharePoint.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaborating with the team and creating documents together with input from all parties. Instead of saving a document on every desktop, now we have one document on SharePoint and it's always up to date.

  ### 15. Share point for team use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

Sharepoint was used to share docs across entire talent team.

  ### 16. SharePoint is an excellent tool for collaboration and organization for agencies.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

I like that SharePoint allows me as a a site manager to share information with my team, while providing varying levels of permissions to members to increase participation while decreasing unintentional errors in editing.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

I dislike that SharePoint is not the most user friendly platform for collaboration. After extensive training, individuals are able to navigate the site for their needs, but progressive training is needed to create and maintain pages.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

Take an introductory course prior to starting a large scale project.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Optimizing storage space, by transferring documents and materials from a shared network drive
- Collaboration with external partners
- Dissemination of information within the agency

  ### 17. Microsoft SharePoint with Intranet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

The best part of using Microsoft SharePoint is that it works seamlessly with my Microsoft products like Office 365 and Windows 10. I use it to update our company website with jpg pictures, text, and pdf files.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

The only dislike about using Microsoft SharePoint is that you have to publish, check-in and check-out a .page when editing it. It's also confusing if it's published online for company wide to see because you think its out there but it may not be until you upload it.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

Microsoft makes the best product!

I use MS SharePoint to create and update our company intranet site daily.

  ### 24. SharePoint The Software for Teamwork

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josbeb D C. | Administrador de Data Center, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

It allows you to work from anywhere without being in the office with your team members or visitors. Access to the Microsoft O365 toolset. The access to the permits is packaged and its configuration is very easy. On the other hand, Synchronization of the document library has never been easier and more functional, as well as the synchronization of OneDrive files. The accessibility of the information that is needed to perform my daily tasks. Its design is very easy to understand. One of its biggest advantages is the ease with which I can share the link and create the flow, so I know when the file is approved and ready to move on.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

At the time of using the program the code disappoints, coupled with this, the design that is going to be used is unpleasant, you have to customize the interface, it does not have a real option which allows me to change the appearance, you can change the theme to a similar one with minor modifications, the search function is alarming because it often requires changes to the search schema and profiles in the root administrator; which is a nuisance.
When you must edit the sheets in Excel in line with Share Point, it does not allow me to use the features you have because they are not available. If I want to share the document with another user, authorization must be requested from the owner, as long as the user is not configured in the folder.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

I would suggest that you look for other tools or options until the design interface is much more intuitive to control; unless you are a web developer with time to manage this. If the product is used for the first time, let the product speak.
Because of the experience SharePoint has had since he was with a company that used it for the first time. I would recommend to continue using it, because it has good It has good characteristics. As the program evolves it presents excellent features, when using Sharepoint, take note of how the company has stored its information in it and make sure that the routes to access important documents are noticed, so that there are no problems to find the information that is needed.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can access the files anywhere and we can edit files together in real time so there are no version problems. I used Sharepoint as a point of reference to keep up with the company's policies and procedures. It allowed a "one-stop shop" to obtain each and every one of the questions that I could have encountered during my daily work tasks. On the other hand, sharepoint 2013 is used both for internal processes and for customers. We do invoice processing for our clients. SharePoint scales very well and adding new clients is so simple that we have been able to do almost completely with PowerShell scripting.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon M. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

You can use SharePoint for file storage, online collaboration, workflows, and so much more. Out of the box sites are instant and quite capable.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

Permissions are tedious to manage, and it is much easier to assign to AD groups and move users in and out of those areas. Learning curve can also be quite steep when going out of the box.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

Make to to plan it all out before implementing. It is too complicated to just wing it unless you are following basic templates.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 38. SharePoint

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

Being able to edit a live document at the same time as a coworker.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

That you are able to lose information easily if you are not careful.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

Make sure all users know how to open, create, and save the same way.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You are able to enter, log, and track information and easily share it.

  ### 39. I use sharepoint to share my documents and upload files with my team members

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2019

There is nothing I dislike about SharePoint.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work as a Research Assistant and SharePoint allows me to share all important information such as data, interview transcriptions, files, etc. Benefits are it is very user-friendly and accessible

  ### 40. A solid project based website tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emil S. | Electrical Engineer, Oil & Energy, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

SharePoint provides an easy to assemble and navigate template for any project website, which allows a project team to have a centralized point of data, communication, and other information. The adaptability of the program allows it to be fit to purpose for specific project needs.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

The search function could use definite improvement. If you don't know specifically how to find what you are looking for through the various menu options, the search function is not nearly as helpful at getting you there as it should be.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

There are easy to find guides, manuals, and help resources online. If your company, for example, outsources its information technology department, it will likely be more timely to search for solutions yourself rather than wait for someone possibly a continent away to help you.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides universal access to critical project information, which has proven beneficial to our workshare efforts by providing access to the same information for offices located across the globe. Emailing massive files across multiple time zones is painful, and getting the necessary local network file access to other offices is an IT nightmare. SharePoint provides a solution to these issues.

  ### 41. Good but still needs a little work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** LeEdna T. | Sales Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

the ease of collaboration is nice and you can build and personalize your own sharepoints with little effort even if you are not super tech savvy.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

When you log into a document and then log out sharepoint does not always recognize that you've logged out so it locks the document to yoour co-worked despite the fact that they've already logged out. Also if you try to open a document in excel not excel online the save feature doesnt work sometimes.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration is a lot easier. Sharepoint is an amazing tool despite the shortcommings that I've mentioned. A must have for any team or project manager.

  ### 42. Sharedrive

The ease of which you can share information between different people in the company. The ability to work remotely with this product

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

Sometimes it will glitch out and documents will not be uploaded properly by the individual which causes sharing issues

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realized the benefits of using this product to work remotely within my job role

  ### 44. Sharepoint makes things easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

Clients are able to get into our sharepoint files (if given access) and update their information if need be.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

There is not much to dislike about Sharepoint, it is easy to use for everyone. May just take some getting used to.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dealing with a wide range of clients, updating stuff gets lost in the mix, but with sharepoint our clients are able to update their own stuff.

  ### 45. Overall good experience

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2019

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2019

Centralization of everything needed for one team

  ### 47. Good for tracking info

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

It is fairly easy to navigate, and you can customize it to your needs. Info can also be queried through Access.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

Making changes can be a bit cumbersome, and pulling info from access isn’t always the easiest to set up.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easier to collaboratively enter and track information along with pull lots of info at one time.

  ### 48. Easy, efficient way to share key documents

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

Sharepoint is an easily accessible way to upload and manage documents. I like that it can be accessed anywhere without having to use a shared hard drive or have access to a Remote Desktop.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

I didn't have any problems with Sharepoint.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to share training documents, procedures, and other information without having to grant and manage access to a hard drive. We also didn't have to worry about accessing the hard drive from another computer, etc. when not on the premises.

  ### 49. Sharepoint is very useful tool for collaboration and basic document management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Indi S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

Eliminating collaborating on documents through emails - this greatly increases productivity within organization. Since it is Microsoft product, navigation and look and feel as very user friendly, similar to what's on Windows desktop machines. Use of product is very straightforward, although administration might become little trickier. Provides good document management for the price - most use cases will be covered, although in regulated industries it won't meet requirements for document management, but works great for intranets for sharing knowledge base materials across large workforce, making easy access and navigation to the latest documents, be it knowledge articles/SOPs etc.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

Although nearly all the content management features in SharePoint can be customized to reflect the content management needs, SharePoint still offers very basic content management functionality compared to other, purpose build software. Version control is very basic.
To make the most of SharePoint, you usually have to do a lot of planning. If this step is missing, you will get lots of frustrated users.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SharePoint:**

Administration and extending OTB SharePoint functionality might become costly very soon, especially considering for larger organizations almost definitely a need to tailor SharePoint to their business use case, the total costs should be taken into consideration.

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Eliminates documents sent through email, saves paper printing them, because available online for all parties. Views are shareable snapshots of related documents. Quickly find all the documents for a specific project, documents that require review and approval or new uploads by colleagues. Securing content and basic Document Life Cycle management.

  ### 50. Useful for sharing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?**

I like sharepointa ability to upload and share with peers

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?**

I don’t like the layout of sharepoint and feel it can be updated

**What problems is Microsoft SharePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to share documents with people and notify them when things get updated
