"Still the Gold Standard for Professional Presentations and Even Better with AI"

What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

Microsoft PowerPoint is still the most complete presentation software for professional work. The biggest advantage is the level of control it gives you over every aspect of a presentation: layouts, typography, charts, tables, images, animations, master slides and complex visual structures can all be edited exactly the way you need them.

For client presentations, consulting decks, pitch decks, investor presentations and other business-critical documents, that flexibility is extremely difficult to replace. PowerPoint is also such an established standard that sharing and collaborating with clients, colleagues and external partners is straightforward.

What has made the workflow even better for us is combining PowerPoint with Slaide as our AI presentation layer. We use Slaide to generate and structure presentations with AI and then continue working with the editable slides in PowerPoint. That combination gives us the speed of an AI presentation maker without sacrificing the flexibility and precision of PowerPoint. PowerPoint works extremely well with the rest of our stack because it is still the central format for professional presentations. We use it alongside Microsoft 365 tools, cloud storage, research tools and Slaide for AI-powered presentation creation.

The strongest combination for us is PowerPoint + Slaide. We use Slaide to turn prompts, research and source documents into structured presentations and editable slides, then continue working in PowerPoint for detailed formatting, charts, final edits and client delivery.

That workflow is much more efficient than creating every deck manually from scratch. Slaide gives us the speed and structure of an AI presentation maker, while PowerPoint remains the flexible, reliable environment for final professional output. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

The main weakness of PowerPoint is that creating a high-quality presentation from scratch can still be very time-consuming. PowerPoint gives you almost unlimited flexibility, but traditionally you have had to build the storyline, slide structure and much of the design manually.

We solve most of this problem by using Slaide alongside PowerPoint. Slaide handles much of the AI presentation generation and initial slide creation, while PowerPoint remains the environment where we finalize and fine-tune the deck. What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

PowerPoint gives us a universal environment for creating, editing and delivering professional presentations. We use it for everything from internal business presentations to client decks, strategy presentations, pitch decks and more complex analytical slides.

Its biggest benefit is that we never feel restricted by the software. If a slide needs to be adjusted, rebuilt or customized in detail, PowerPoint gives us the tools to do it. That is particularly important for professional presentations where small formatting and design decisions matter.

The ROI is very strong because PowerPoint is already deeply integrated into the Microsoft ecosystem and has become a standard file format across our workflow. Onboarding is also relatively easy because most professionals already have experience with PowerPoint, while advanced users can go extremely deep.

Our workflow has become considerably faster since adding Slaide as the AI layer. Instead of spending hours creating the first draft manually, we can use Slaide for AI presentation generation, content structuring and slide creation, then move into PowerPoint for the final refinement.
