"Useful Engineering Notebook for Keeping Project Notes and Decisions Organized"

What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?

I use OneNote as a working notebook for engineering activities such as sprint notes, technical research, meeting discussions, and project references. I keep separate sections for documentation, research, references, and meeting notes, so related information stays together instead of being spread across separate files. During project work, I also record decisions and follow-up items in the same notebook and return to them when preparing or reviewing documentation. What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?

As an engineering notebook grows, navigation can become less convenient when there are many sections and pages covering different projects or meetings. I sometimes need to search through older pages to find a specific technical reference or decision, especially when information was recorded several months earlier. Keeping a large notebook organized also requires occasional cleanup and consistent page naming. What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?

OneNote helps me keep engineering notes, meeting decisions, research findings, and technical references in one organized workspace. For example, I use separate sections for documentation, research, references, and meeting notes so I can return to the relevant project context without searching through multiple files. I also use it to capture decisions and action items during discussions and refer back to them when updating project documentation.
