We use OneDrive as our main document repository at work, and it handles storing and sharing files across the team well. Access control is the strongest part. I can share a file or folder with specific people, choose view or edit rights, and change access later without re-sending anything. Everyone works from the same version instead of copies going around by email. Since it’s part of Microsoft 365, opening and co-editing Word, Excel and PowerPoint files directly from OneDrive is seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Storage limits and search. Storage fills up faster than expected once you’re holding project documents across several engagements, and then you have to clean up or ask for more space. Search is the bigger day-to-day frustration. Finding a specific file often takes several attempts unless you remember its exact name or folder, and results aren’t always ranked the way you’d expect. Better content-based search and filters would save a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
