What I like best about Microsoft forms is the branching option, which allows you to guide the questions of the survey based on the answers that the respondent gives you. This is an advantage over smartsheets, which does not have this option. I also like being able to restrict the answers to just numbers, which is another advantage over smartsheets. In the past I've used smartsheets with frustration at the results because there are always those people who feel the need to add additional commentary when you're just looking for a number you can add up to get results. The limitations with Forms helps with this issue and eliminates the need to "clean" up the data afterwards. I also like the ability to sync the results with Microsoft excel so that the answers are recorded automatically for you and you can access this through your SharePoint site. While it's nice that you can sync up your answers to excel, it's annoying that you need to add your form to a SharePoint site in order to use this function. I wish there was a way to do this without adding to a SharePoint because there are times when I'm helping another team create a survey and sometimes we just want to have the results sent to us without having to tie it to a specific team's SharePoint because many working groups are now cross functional. I also wish there was an easier way to sent the results by email. While it's possible to do this through creating a "flow", it's not obvious unless you're familiar with flow and you first have to know how to sync the form to excel too. They should add a button on the survey results tab that allows you to send the results to yourself or whoever you assign, similar to how smartsheets does it. Similar to the way you can have restrictions on answers to a single question, I wish there was a way to restrict the answers based on 2 questions. As an example, we had 2 questions where we wanted to limit the total to 40 hours when you combine question 1 and question 2 together but there's no way to do this.
