I run social scheduling for my small creator brand on Metricool's Starter plan, and I live in the planner— I can see the whole week across X, Facebook, and Instagram in one calendar and batch my posts instead of opening each app every day. Auto-publish works as advertised for X and Facebook: I schedule a post, and it goes out on its own. It also handles images well as long as you provide a public image URL—it pulls them in and hosts them itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Two Starter-plan limits worth knowing. First, there's no approval workflow on this tier, so if you want a second pair of eyes on a post before it goes out, you have to hold it as a draft and review it manually — that workaround works, but it's not the same as a real approval step. Second, X analytics only cover posts scheduled through Metricool, so anything you post natively won't show up in its reports. It also won't accept Google Drive image links, so I have to host images somewhere public first. And TikTok can still need a manual post depending on the setup — one of my scheduled TikTok posts is manual while the Facebook and Instagram versions auto-publish. Thanks so much for sharing your experience! We love hearing that Metricool helps you stay consistent without spending your whole day managing social media.
And here's a little tip that might make things easier: you can use Google Drive image links! Just make sure the file is shared with "Anyone with the link." If you're using the API, you'll also need to set saveExternalMediaFiles: true.
We really appreciate your feedback on the Starter plan, too. If you ever have questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out through our support chat or at help@metricool.com. We're always happy to help!
Thanks again for taking the time to share such a detailed review.
