The tool is lightweight and easy to integrate into the platforms that our company uses. The customer support team has been excellent at addressing all of our company's concerns. **What do you dislike about Metomic?** The graphic homepage is nice, but I'd like to be able to drill-down into the figures from this homepage. **What problems is Metomic solving and how is that benefiting you?** The Metomic client services team collaborates with the company's Info Security team maintaining compliance for Data Loss Prevention, sending alerts on workflows and provides metrics on company DLP data. ### 2. The sales team was fantastic, the success team has been wonderful, attentive, and pays attention to customer feedback. I've had a great time working with Metomic to uncover areas where their product can help. **What do you dislike about Metomic?** The one area we need Metomic in doesn't currently have an available integration with their product. I look forward to being able to integrate with Salesforce for DLP so that we don't have to purchase another product so that we can use a single product for our DLP. **What problems is Metomic solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Metomic to uncover sensitive company data and prevent it from being shared or residing in places it shouldn't. It's a really great supplement where technical controls that could be our frontline of defense don't exist. ### 3. Over what is already a clean and minimalist product in an ecosystem of highly complex solutions, with Metomic you are able to get insights that don't overly have you worry about increased risk from adding such a supplier to your ecosystem. This I will attribute to their great and thoughtful design **What do you dislike about Metomic?** I wouldn't really say there is something outright I dislike about Metomic. I think it will be great if they extend more on the features that allow their service to talk to a wider set of InfoSec and Data Privacy tools e.g. SIEM integrations and SAML 2.0 SSO authentication. **What problems is Metomic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Metomic is giving us great insights into where our data lies around several of our SaaS tech in use. It allows us to really zoom in on prioritising problem areas that we need to improve our security controls for. ### 4. They are not the type of organization that over promises and under-delivers - quite the opposite. They are great people to work with. **What do you dislike about Metomic?** Depending on which features you purchase, you may find some overlap in your tooling. For the most part, Metomic just does it better. For example, their rules engine makes setting up new rules very straightforward. On occasion, some of their classifiers are over-aggressive, but they will work with you to find the correct balance between false positives and finding things that need proper remediation. **What problems is Metomic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Metomic helps us identify sensitive information in applications where we previously had no or limited visibility. They also provide great tools for remediating any issues we find. ### 5. Always had fantastic service from the Customer Success Manager from the very start! **What do you dislike about Metomic?** Not anything I dislike, but they are working extremely hard to develop new and improve current integrations, and this takes time to complete. Another improvement being worked on is supporting SAML SSO, which will be great. **What problems is Metomic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Scanning for sensitive data such as secrets and looking for data loss across our estate, the redactions it can make whilst alerting via Slack and email are really useful. ### 6. Our IT department especially appreciates the collaboration of the Metomic team in working with us directly to ensure their service meets our current and future needs to minimize the flow of sensitive employee and client data being shared. **What do you dislike about Metomic?** There have been no significant complaints in our experience working with Metomic and we appreciate their transparency as they continue to work on additional features and expand their coverage to provide an even better solution. **What problems is Metomic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Metomic is providing an easy-to-use DLP solution that we are hoping will soon cover enough areas of our workspace to replace other existing services ### 7. Alerting the end user is a great way for a business to educate on how to share data properly. Metomic is also much more flexible for creating DLP rules and alerting than most tools with their out-of-the-box features. **What do you dislike about Metomic?** I think the portal for reviewing alerts needs some work, but it is constantly being improved upon. I'm glad that Metomic is always accepting customer feedback. I think consolidating menu options and screens would be helpful, but I'm confident UX improvements will come with time. **What problems is Metomic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Metomic solves the problem of having high-confidence DLP alerts. Our company tried using Google's OOB alerting, and we were overwhelmed with false positives. Metomic is very low-noise. ### 8. The best thing is that it helps data controllers remain compliant but more importantly able to easily assess risks and prevent breaches or infringements. **What do you dislike about Metomic?** This is difficult as there's nothing I dislike. They're constantly listening learning and work with us to evolve the product for our needs. They're easy to work with and understand why privacy and security matters **What problems is Metomic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Metomic is helping us understand where sensitive data is held, where and how it's being shared and how to prevent losses from occurring. It also helps us to educate teams and users. ### 9. The ability to alert/warn "the author" helps drive good security culture by pointing people to the expected actions without the security team being gatekeepers or supervisors. Super helpful customer success team. **What do you dislike about Metomic?** So far, there haven't been many. There were some teething issues in the early stages of implementation where we had to refine the detectors to reduce false positives, but that's expected of any system in this category. **What problems is Metomic solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps us to maintain visibility on the types of data being shared across our platforms and helps guide expected behaviours. ### 10. It gives me peace of mind to know that a single detection/response to secrets such as AWS keys in an unapproved environment can quickly avoid a major security breach and brings clear ROI. They are constantly making improvements to the platform and taking feedback from customers into account. **What do you dislike about Metomic?** The GUI is still improving, but it's reasonably good and just needs some tweaks. **What problems is Metomic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Metomic helps me to have a good understanding of where our confidential information lies across cloud tooling.
