Mergin Maps has been an essential tool in our university training and community projects. It’s incredibly easy to use, even for students new to GIS, and the setup is quick and smooth. The integration with QGIS is seamless, making data collection and syncing between devices effortless. We use it frequently for mapping, and it keeps proving its versatility through practical features like offline access and real-time syncing. While Mergin Maps is incredibly useful, the storage limitations on the free plan can be a challenge, especially when working with students on large datasets. Mergin Maps solves the challenge of efficient, offline field data collection and collaboration, especially in Tanzania rural areas. It eliminates the need for complex setups or manual data transfers, allowing students and teams to collect, sync, and analyze spatial data seamlessly. That concept of "carrying QGIS to your pockets" really does work here.
