What I like most about Meltwater is how easy it makes it to understand not just what people are talking about, but also who is actually driving those conversations. The Author Segments feature has been particularly useful for me because I can break down audiences by things like age, gender, location, and different interest areas.
I also like being able to see relevance rankings, top topics, and top authors in one place. The visual breakdown makes large amounts of audience data much easier to understand, especially when I’m trying to identify patterns around a brand or topic. It saves me from having to manually go through a huge number of individual mentions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a lot of filters and options available, so it can take some time to understand which segments and settings are most useful for a particular analysis. The amount of information can also feel a little overwhelming when working with a large audience. Once I get the filters set up correctly, though, the analysis becomes much easier to work with.
