Medical.watch is a user-friendly platform that helps identify healthcare professional (HCP) discussions on social media around specific medications. These discussions may lead to valuable insights surrounding specific drug products, the therapeutic landscape, or both. The platform reports the top digital opinion leaders, as well as the most influential posts within a therapeutic area during a specified time frame. A user may view a post within the platform with an option to link out to the primary source. Users can modify searches through key words, conference names, regions, and dates. Users may adjust preferences to be alerted via email of social media activity within a therapeutic area, product, or conference. In general, I use medical watch weekly via the email alerts; however, my utilization of Medical.watch is increased significantly around oncology conferences, data read-outs, and press releases. The customer service is top-notch and the platform is continuously enhanced. The area of oncology is rapidly evolving and Medical.watch is a platform that aims to help users stay up-to-date by highlighting the most relevant and influential HCP discussions on social media.
