"Flexible, Cost-Effective Requirements Management with Outstanding Support and Thoughtful AI"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Matrix Req?

I most like the flexibility of the system to fit lots of different project structures. There's almost always a way to do what you want to do and customise the system to work for your organisation. The support has been second to none, with very fast responses and a comprehensive help function. On top of this, Matrix seems to be one of the first requirements management tools to integrate AI tools in a thoughtful and genuinely useful way. Through our tender process, Matrix came out as the most cost effective between the 3 options submitted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Matrix Req?

The interface in Matrix Req can be a little off-putting to new users. Even though the basic functions are easy to learn, more advanced functionality is not always obvious and requires support from other colleagues. The backend server administration is thorough and provides good customisation, but some elements are quite tricky to learn, such as customising fields and labels. The other problem some people have encountered is how to manage multi-level requirements (e.g for system and subsystem requirements). Whilst the tool integrates with Jira, as most of our software is in the Microsoft ecosystem, it doesn't integrate particularly well with those tools. However, Matrix is flexible enough with import/export functionality to work alongside other tools Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
