What I like best about MATLAB is its extensive collection of built-in toolboxes and libraries, which make complex numerical computations, data analysis, and matrix operations effortless. Its interactive environment, along with excellent plotting capabilities and clear documentation, allows for rapid prototyping and easy visualization of algorithm results. What I dislike most about MATLAB is its expensive commercial licensing cost, especially for add-on toolboxes. Additionally, it can be resource-intensive and slower compared to lower-level languages like C++ or Julia when executing non-vectorized loops, and its code is proprietary, making it less open for broad collaboration than open-source alternatives like Python.
