"User-Friendly MATLAB with Top-Tier UI, Tools, and Simulation Performance"

What do you like best about MATLAB?

It is very user-friendly and offers one of the best UI experiences. It’s easy to learn MATLAB coding, and the syntax is straightforward—it feels like you’re writing code in English. It also has lots of tools to integrate with various software, which helps with both coding and simulation. In my experience, it delivers the best performance among other engineering simulation software, and I use it for almost all of my aerospace projects. I regularly use the MATLAB code editor, Simulink, the MATLAB plotter, and tons of other inbuilt apps to make my work easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MATLAB?

From a technical point of view, I don’t see any downsides. The only drawback for me is the pricing—it’s a bit expensive for an individual or a student to purchase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MATLAB solving and how is that benefiting you?

It genuinely helps me solve real engineering problems. Whether I’m writing code to calculate aerodynamic coefficients, calculating stress, or tackling almost any other engineering task, it gets the job done. The environment is easy to write in, and plotting data is smooth and straightforward with the built-in apps.

I also use SIMULINK for control-system simulation and analysis, as well as for simulating the battery performance of a UAV, and it’s very impressive—fast and reliable. On top of that, MATLAB support is exceptional: with the Help/Documentation option, I can quickly look up and learn about almost any tool, feature, or syntax/command with a single click.
