I find that Martus is very passive in terms of where to go, what to do next and how to complete budget sections. The program does not lead you and is not structured in a manner that is sequential. It is difficult to get a birds eye view on what you have done and what still needs to be completed. The program requires a great deal of customer support to get it set up and working. In addition, Martus does not offer a Contracts module. This is very important in terms of budgeting as your YTD balance versus your YTD Balance PLUS encumbered amounts drastically changes what you have available to spend.
