"Mapline Makes Our Statewide Student Mock Election Secure, and Non-Partisan"

What do you like best about Mapline?

The New Jersey Center for Civic Education at Rutgers University has run a statewide student mock election for over a decade. The project is designed to help students learn the importance of informed voting in every election while also giving them a chance to cast an actual ballot that will be tabulated. Over the years over 300k students have participated. Mapline provides the anonymous randomized ballot codes and tabulates the votes, presenting them in map form by congressional or state legislative district. They have been very helpful with the technical aspects of our project and have always been mindful of our need to ensure student privacy. They also respect our need to be non-partisan. Nathaniel Keenan has been especially helpful as our lead contact over the years. His enthusiasm to help further civic engagement is much appreciated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mapline?

There were some delays at the start of the project with updating the website, but Mapline addressed all of the issues and even created an administrative dashboard for us to use that has allowed us to now quickly address most teacher issues. Those we cannot address ourselves are picked up by Mapline and resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mapline solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mapline assists with teachers registering for the mock election, provides teachers with anonymous randomly generated codes for the voting portal that ensure student privacy, and helps the Center get the results published by the early evening of Election Day.
