## MailerLite Reviews
 ### 1. Account terminated after payment, no refund

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aidas B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

We did not have enough time to identify any standout positives before the account was terminate

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

We used MailerLite to send a one-time B2B introduction email to business contacts (like info@...) to introduce our platform.

We first sent test emails — everything worked fine.
Based on that, we upgraded to a paid plan (10,000 subscribers).

Then we sent our first real batch of 170 emails. This was not spam, not a scam, not aggressive marketing — just a respectful informational message.
From recipients: no spam complaints, no abusive response, normal engagement .
From MailerLite: no warnings, no alerts, no indication of any problem .

Later, when preparing to send the next batch (~500 emails), our account was terminated for an alleged Terms of Service violation. No prior warning. No opportunity to correct anything.

The most important thing to understand:
once this happens, YOU LOSE ALL the MONEY you paid. It does not matter if you paid for a year.
It does not matter if you used only a small part of the service.
YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No real benefit was delivered before the account was terminated.

 ### 2. Simple Yet Outpaced by Competitors

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabiola A. | Senior Influencer Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

I found MailerLite really easy and simple to understand. The UX was okay, not above and beyond, but also not the worst for email marketing. I appreciated the simplicity of the tool as it was more on the simpler side to use. It was fast to put together a newsletter campaign, making it efficient for my needs.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Honestly, I think it was good maybe a few years ago, but the competitors now are stronger. My personal favorite is Beehiiv, I think it's so much better.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MailerLite was a simple and fast way to do email marketing, especially for setting up newsletter campaigns quickly.

 ### 3. Humans Don't Work Here, and The Software Doesn't Work Either

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

Mailerlite was great at the beginning. Now it is Mailer Headache

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

I left for a couple months. Came back in October. The automations are filled with bugs and jittery ghost images on the drag and drop. Worst is the auto-resend campaign will not let you create the campaign. It gets hung up on choosing your recipients. You choose the group, and get an error message to choose the group. You cannot go forward. Tech companies releasing pre-alpha software and charging you for it.

Support is difficult to find as they dont want to be bothered. Finally got email address and a bot answers them. Cannot get a human to fix the problem. Bot tells you not to send the campaign you want and to do a work around. send a regular campaign and remeber to copy it late and resend. What a joke. You will not get a human.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Run Fast and Don't look Back.

 ### 4. Extremely terrible service with useless support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2025

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

The email template builder is great and has some nice flexibilities. Its of pretty high quality.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Absolutely terrible service. They immediately banned my email after I started a full-compliant automation although my content is 100% within their requirements (it was literally just an automation sending a few followup emails for users who PURCHASED my software product). And well, surprise too: I hadn't even sent out a single email yet!

Their support NEVER replied to me except for one automated email. Their support just doesn't even exist. What an absolutely horrible service. NEVER go here!!! You even risk losing all your money spend on a subscription if their algorithm for no reason flags your account. I will use Brevo instead.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does not solve any issue because they literally banned my account before I could even use it. I liked their interface, but for no reason I got kicked out.

 ### 5. Issues with Customer Support and Email Sending

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony F. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

I use Mailerlite daily to send an email newsletter to my community. I like the interface of Mailerlite. I belive it is easy to use and one of the best when it comes to creating emails. I like that I had the option of using templates and as I my business grew I could switch to using my own custom html email which many platforms don't support.

Setting up my newsletter on the platform was easy to do. Setup was straightforward.

I like that mailerlite integrates with Facebook lead ads.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Customer support is not good. I had issues with email deliverability that kept reoccuring. Mailerlite would tell me the issue was resolved but then it would break again. I always had to follow up with support. They would never reach out when a ticket was open.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailerlite is the primary platform I use to send a daily newsletter.

 ### 6. Poor experience setting up the account

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike K. | Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2025

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

Nothing really. The account setup process was terrible.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

The account setup process was extremely time consuming and poorly designed. Help pages and tutorials don't match the new interface, so it looks like the interface was changed significantly but the tutorials were not updated. Impossible to reach support for help. We abandoned MailerLite as it is not a professional level software and we didn't want to waste any more time on it.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps email marketing and client notifications

 ### 7. Mailerlite is a DISASTER OF SERVICES

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmina S. | CEO , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2025

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

Nothing.

MailerLite upgraded to a new platform and required people to migrate manually. Their communication about the migration is catastrophic - literally nonexistent.
At some point, we realized that the emails stopped going out.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Like James and Chris, we lost the complete subscriber list that we have been building for years.

I paid for the service of creating 5 Mailerlite Landing pages that at some point just STOP WORKING,

At some point, they simply changed the domain and all the links we used to advertise for years are BROKEN - i.e. they direct to NON-EXISTING PAGES (instead of first com which doesn't work one morning you just have to start entering io manually)

The only thing we could do was to manually search and find those links that we spotted online for years and update the info about the new domain

Mmailerlite is obviously not developing a product but only charging membership fees and live from day to day - PLS ACOID Mailerlite AT ALL COST and find another service that works so you don't end up with a devastated business that you've been developing for years

NO pros just CONS - Mailerlite is a DISASTER OF SERVICES, if there was a -100 rating for Mailerlite that would be the most adequate rating

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Did not solve a thing - Mailerlite required people to migrate manually. Their communication about the migration is catastrophic - literally nonexistent.

At some point, we realized that the emails just completely stopped going out.

 ### 8. Warning: Think Twice Before Using MailerLite

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mateusz J. | Software & Automation Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2024

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

In conclusion, MailerLite offers attractive email marketing tools, but their policy is clearly focused on protecting the interests of the company at the expense of the users. It is worth considering carefully the decision to use this platform, especially if you care about flexibility, protection of your rights, and full control over the content you send.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

MailerLite's terms are highly skewed in favor of the company, with several absurd points that should make you think twice:

No Refunds for Unused Services – Even if you cancel early, MailerLite won’t refund you. Forget to cancel on time? You’re stuck paying.

Automatic Price Hikes – Exceed your subscriber limit, and you’ll be auto-upgraded to a higher, more expensive plan—without any notice.

Strict and Arbitrary Content Rules – MailerLite reserves the right to decide, at its own discretion, what content is “inappropriate” and can immediately shut down your account and seize your funds if they disagree with what you're sending.

Unilateral Policy Changes – They can change their terms anytime, and if you don’t like it, your only option is to quit.

Limited Liability – If their platform fails or you lose data, they hold no responsibility and you get no compensation.

Bottom line: #MailerLite gives itself the power to shut down your account based on vague, subjective criteria while keeping your money. This lack of accountability could leave you with unexpected costs and no recourse. Stay cautious!

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collect emails, launch landing pages

 ### 9. Mailerlite is the worst ESP you can use

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex C. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2024

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

the website is easy to use but besides that this company is a massive joke

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

They will block your account and freeze the payment method so they can charge you fees without even letting you send emails. They have obscure terms and conditions that they can use against you at any point to take your money and run away.

Its amazing that they are allowed to operate with this business model. DON'T FALL FOR IT!

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was supposed to be our ESP but now its turned into a Fraudlent company that does not give a shit about its users

 ### 10. Lost 6 months of service and they aren't taking responsibility

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2024

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

I use MailerLite to send emails to my list.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

It's never been intuitive in the old version and even some in the newer version. We often have to ask them how to do things. To figure things out on our own always takes a long time, and their servers are very slow when switching from different areas of the software.

In their new version after 3 weeks of hard work getting 3 different sites moved over, they shut down/paused 2-3 of my campaigns and/or RSS feed and I had no idea, so I lost 6 months of connecting to my list.

Their customer service while fast, doesn't answer questions or address problems (they pick and chose what to address) and they don't seem to understand what I'm saying some of the time so I have to repeat myself. That's managers too.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting with my lists.

 ### 11. Too many bugs and reliability issues to recommend

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathaniel S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2024

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

MailerLite is dead simple to set up and get running. We send a weekly newsletter to 80,000 recipiants. It took two people about an hour and half to get everything set up.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

TLDR; Increadibly unreliable

- Links and images in emails have changed randomly from preview mode to after we hit send (YOU HAVE ONE JOB)
- A key API end point is non-functional and we only discovered it through trying to retrieve data from it. This is a bigger issue than with most providers because native CRM integrations are non-existant.
- Limited integrations with Salesforce/HubSpot/other CRM tools
- No support for large images used in website backgrounds
- Preview mode doesn't always accurately preview the email that gets sent

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MailerLite is our email marketing platform - we use it to send newsletters and smaller campaigns. We also make extensive use of the landing page functionality to collect new email addresses.

 ### 12. Don't trust with your email marketing. Good customer service ruined by technical issues & no refunds

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathon R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2023

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

- Very friendly customer support, available quickly at all times of the day (on the Advanced plan).
- Good interface and UX.
- Easy migration and integration.
- More affordable than many other providers.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Unfortunately, migrating to MailerLite from Campaign Monitor has had a dreadful impact on both our email traffic and mailing list.

The first problems occurred shortly after migration, when an email list of nearly 25,000 subscribers was obliterated overnight by deliverability issues. An open rate in the 30-40% range in Campaign Monitor plummeted to under 4%. MailerLite's support team were attentive and friendly as always, but their advice was generic and fixes slow. It took weeks before we started coming back up, and nearly four months later we're still not there.

The technical problems don't end there though:

- We've had to give up on using our custom domain because it no longer works with a certain large UK ISP. This is a problem that only started for us when we started using MailerLite. We never had this problem using Campaign Monitor. There is apparently no possibility of a fix, we just have to live with it.

- Campaigns often send very, very slowly. For example, we queued up our last MailerLite email for 3pm. It's now 6:19pm and it's still only 55% sent. Our niche is very competitive with lots of short-notice product announcements...since moving to MailerLite we are regularly hours behind our rivals.

- We've had several campaigns suffer very high levels of 'hard' bounces, esp. to Hotmail/Outlook. We're talking 1000+ subscribers bouncing at a time. To add insult to injury, when we asked for the bounced subscribers to be recovered MailerLite said they would do so...but seemingly forgot to, and had to be asked again.

- The final problem (and this is what has led us to leave MailerLite and sacrifice our annual contract) has been an infuriating and embarrassing technical issue whereby our campaigns were getting 'stuck' when sending, resulting in subscribers getting the same email multiple times on the same day. We're talking customers receiving the same campaign four, five, six times in a matter of hours here. When we reported this problem MailerLite assured us they had put a fix in place, so we duly reported back to the customers who'd complained to us and promised them it wouldn't happen again. Only for it to immediately happen again, very same day. Needless to say, this not only makes us look like total idiots but has also led to lost subscribers, lost sales, and lost reputation.

On top of all this, MailerLite are famously obstructive if you ask for any kind of refund. I gave up chasing after the last request because it was taking so long to get responses. Their reluctance to dish out refunds on monthly contracts is understandable, but we - stupidly - opted for an annual contract.

So if, for whatever reason, you still feel like giving them a go after reading this review, be aware that any faith and trust you place in them by agreeing an annual contract will not be reciprocated in the event of things going wrong. They will keep your money no matter how bad the service you receive ends up to be.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In all honesty, MailerLite isn't solving any business problems for us at the moment. It is creating them.

 ### 13. buggy; very inaccurate analytics; poor support

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

-email builder is pretty solid: drag and drop builder is probably my favorite of the mailer services. easy setup w clean results; pretty useful blocks
-landing page builder is also solid
-this software would be okay for someone who only has one mailing list/newsletter they send out. we have a few, and it absolutely does not provide all that we need

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

- the analytics are... SO... bad. no way to even check basic metrics like growth of a group . im updating this a year later to reflect that they still are SOO buggy and minimal
- the analytics provided are almost always inaccurate or broken (this company literally cost me thousands of dollars in money i had to refund because they gave me incorrect data, which i in turn gave to customers)
- email customer support on more than one occasion has provided (and then strongly defended) completely incorrect information, until i ask to speak to someone else, who confirms that the first support rep was completely off base (for example, about what a certain data point means, or how to perform a certain task)
- automation builder contains numerous problems. for example, you cant easily modify steps in the middle of an automation.
- subscriber management is onerous
- constant constant bugs that affect my readers' experience. such as mailerlite breaking links and not knowing how to fix it.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

managing multiple mailing lists

 ### 14. Nice tool, terrible and unprofessional support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2023

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

It offers everything that a small or medium size company would need from an email marketing platform. Easy to use, stable and cost effective.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

They don't care about their customers and their businesses. Here's our story:

We have used MailerLite for 1,5 year and after few months of tests we decided to stay with this platform for a longer time. We trained our marketing team, built processes involving ML and integrated our internal systems with its API.

A week ago we started a newsletter for one of our websites and ran a first campaign about cold mailing and outbound sales strategies.

It was sent to all registered users of the website who agreed to receive marketing communication, but we didn't think of removing old addresses from the list (registered earlier than 2-3 years ago). That resulted in significantly higher bounce rate and unsubscribe rate than in our previous campaigns.

Right after the campaign was sent we received an automatic message from ML that our account is suspended.

We tried to contact the support but all we got was laconic explanation that we breached ML's anti-spam policy by using a low quality address list and sending the content that goes against their terms of service.

While in general it's true and we should have checked the terms and clean the subscribers' list before running the campaign, I wouldn't expect that after 1,5 year of using the service without any issue (70 campaigns finished) our account could be suspended without any warning or a chance to discuss the issue.

The worst thing is that we trusted them and three months ago we decided to order an annual plan. Now we asked for a refund for a remaining subscription period after the suspension date and we got a reply that according to their tems in cases like that they do not provide refunds.

Well, what can I say - it was a waste of money and a waste of time. If you don't want to experience the same problems, don't even think of using MailerLite in your business.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Now it doesn't solve any problems and it's definetely not benefiting. See our story.

 ### 15. Without warning, I received an automated termination notice.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2024

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

It got the job done. The new interface is an improvement.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Without warning, I received an automated termination notice. I inquired directly with the compliance team, and I have not heard back about why my content triggered the termination. I followed up again, and still zero replies.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending a newsletter to my clients.

 ### 16. Incredible bad service - blocked all our accounts!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

Their promise sounded good after initial call with salesperson. But that was all!

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

We moved over to ML mainly because of their storage plan for the Advansed package. We spent a month moving over a website as well as lots of landing pages. We imported contact lists from previous platform we used: all cleaned up in regards to bounces and unsubscribes. When we went ahead with a small campaign to newsletter subscribers (previously low bounce rate), we found suddenly that our whole account was suspended!! We were not contacted to clarify or discuss. Our supposed 24/7 support was removed, all landings and website were down. It was pretty much impossible to get in contact with anyone from ML, after a few days we got a mail stating that due to Anti Spam policies our one and only mailing campaign was triggered as spam due to high bounce rate. But all our landing pages/websites were still down, and this resulted in issues with our users not being able to navigate around our sites. We have now cancelled our account, moved back to previous platform. Not had any mail from ML saying they are sorry the way this was handed, no refund due to their policies. Anyway; keep the money! Be warned; demo account looks good, pricing as well, but service and support is non exciting!

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For now: nothing

 ### 17. Most wonderful support experience ever

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reinier B. | Business Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

I signed up for a free MailerLite account on Saturday evening. It was easy to set up my first autoresponder, except that I ran into one technical issue-defining a DNS record to assure the lowest change of emails being bounced. To solve the issue, I contacted MailerLite support in the easily accessible chat box. Within less than a minute I got in touch with one of their support staff. She was very kind and patient and she responded promptly to my questions and she provided me with very helpful additional information and tips.
I made the changes to the DNS which take some time to propagate.

After 2 hours I got my first email out :-)

At that time, the chat box was still active and when I wrote that the issue was solved and that the first email was out. Finally, I wrote 'thank you very much for your kind and professional support and to my surprise, the same person responded promptly and asked if there was something else she could help me with.

The application itself is clean, easy to use and provides a lot of functionality. The many signup forms provided by MailerLite are great. I use the API instead to integrate a Vuejs signup component in a Laravel app to have maximum control over the markup and the behavior. Testing the (multi-step) emails is a piece of cake, both from the signup form in my Laravel app as well as from the MailerLite application.

In the past, I have used AWeber for a few years. I found their system much more rigid and more difficult to work with and some functionality (eg multiple languages) was lacking. And it was expensive.

MailerLite provides the possibility to build an unlimited number of websites including blog pages in their paid plans. That's a very interesting bonus I haven't seen in their competitor's offers.

Finally, a remark about recommending MailerLite to someone else: I never recommend a product or a service. I just tell them what I am using when someone asks.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

I haven't run into something that I do not like (yet). We'll see.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capturing subscriber email addresses of visitors of our website that are interested in our services and having a powerful and efficiënt way to mail them on a regular basis

**Official Response from Lay Kuen Yee:**

> What a joy did your review bring to us, Reinier! We couldn't be happier than reading the experience you've encounter with us. We had a slight sadness when we saw the 1-star, but quickly saw that it was just a mistake and that you've had a great time with us!

 ### 18. Not what I hoped it to be

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2023

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

I like that it is linked to other companies for integration for my business.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

It's not as user friendly as what I'm using now.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not, so I went to a other company and now I don't spend as much time on my newsletters as before.

 ### 19. Critical issue caused me to lose money

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

I've been using mailerlite for 1-2 years and even though their software is not feature-packed like their competitors, it is useful and cheap so I wish that I could stay with them forever but a serious issue has caused me to rethink my decision to use them for my business.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Mailerlite failed to notify me that I was exceeding my plan limits and thousands of emails were failing to send to my subscribers. I discovered the fact myself and the emails would have continued to failed delivering if I had not discovered and resolved the issue. I would expect that mailerlite would email me to let me know that I need to upgrade my plan, or that thousands of emails are failing to send, but I never got a notification like that. This failure has most likely caused me to lose customers and potential revenue. Now I have to spend time manually checking my current usage daily to make sure emails aren't failing to delivery.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Mailerlite to create an automation campaign for new users who are using our product. When the product is sending emails correctly, we believe it leads to more engagement from our users.

 ### 20. Good Product, Good Service, Terrible Policy

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aby V. | Real Estate Investor in Asian Emerging Markets., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

Simplicity, Online Chat and Cost effectiveness

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Terrible policy as fas as refund is concerned !

**Recommendations to others considering MailerLite:**

I really liked mailerlite. It's a good product with good customer support. I use to be a satisfied customer!

So why one star? For two reasons. The first reason is minor and the second reason is major.

1. First Reason (Minor)

On October-2021 I sent a broadcast. Usually my email open rate is between 25% to 30% as I am in personal development/Spiritual Niche.

But this broadcast open rate is just 0.73% (Less than 1%). I asked mailerlite support. They acknowledge that they are facing some issues with some other people too. The open rate drops from 30% to 0.76% so I asked mailerlite to pls tell me in detail WHY this has happened? Though they assure me they will investigate they didn't reply with any concrete information about why this has happened in the first place?

2. Second Reason (Major)

I am a paid customer of mailerlite for more than 7 months. In September-21 ending, I paid it for a full year as I was satisfied with mailerlite. I was just serving my facebook group subscribers and collecting emails so i have not created any course yet.

Now in November, I need to migrate to KAJABI as I am planning to create online courses. So I humbly ask mailerlite for a refund as I have just used mailerlite for one month and eleven months are still left unused. I also asked them to deduct money for two months and even take away all my discounts which they gave me for the yearly plan..

Suddenly asking refund transform an awesome customer support team to extremely defensive and fearful. I mean they were so fearful and hesitant to even discuss a refund for a genuine client. They keep on showing me the refund policy page again and again.

The support which use to be so awesome suddenly transform into stubborn, unhelpful support.

I literally, humbly beg them to understand my situation. I plead to them in every way to understand my situation. But they just didn't budge. I also told them that then I have no other way to genuine report this instance through a review! They said they just "DONT CARE".

I really felt that reason for the support executive being not helpful has to do with the higher management, who is really pressurizing the support team to not even help any genuine cases.

So remember mailerlite will be good until some technical or life challenges come to you.

I see that mailerlite executives are approaching some one-star review customers and trying to help them. But then they are not helping afterward but just "acting nice" on this platform.

PS: Mailerlite, if you approach, pls be genuine as I use to be a very satisfied customer till the refund issue popped up!

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email marketning automation

**Official Response from Lay Kuen Yee:**

> Hey Aby, getting in touch here as well. I've sent a follow-up email to your inbox. Hopefully we can resolve this situation together.

 ### 21. Fairly immature product, DO NOT USE IN PRODUCTION

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2021

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

If you want to toy around, then it is a great platform, but I cannot recommend it for using it for serious client work or other production use. If you are trying out some concepts and looking for a cheap option rather than building your own, then this is a platform of choice. Most of the features are either under development or bugs where you will need to make adjustments in your flow. If you are looking to build simple rules, then there is a limit of 10, which is perfectly understandable. Now consider you have a survey template with 10 options and would like to route depending on answers. Guess what, you will need to build 10 rules for each answer separately. There is no concept of LESS THAN or any logic. It appears logic programming is completely missing with the developers. I raised multiple such issues, and mostly answers I received from help chat were, pointing me to other products which work better!! In all sincerity I have built a good stack based on their recommendations, so kudos for doing good research on competing products. I am happy to pay you minimum tier, just to get good recommendation from your help chat :)

 ### 22. Good Service Terrible Policies

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2021

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

The service is good for small campaigns. Not so much for larger campaigns that require account approval first. Can delay emails considering its a minimum of 24 hour wait.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Tried to use this service, so I uploaded a campaign and purchased the 10k user tier. Support needed to approve the 10k list first, which is ok. So, they did not approve and told me I could not send a campaign to a list of users because some of them were not authenticated. Ok, so I asked for a refund as no campaign was actually sent. At that point, they argued it was against their policy to provide a refund because my list was no good and it goes against their policy to have a poor list. So, it seems that the company is selective about how many emails you can send even if you pay for a certain number, and they will not refund even if you never send an actual campaign. Terrible support. But i blame myself for expected the truth would guide me in the right direction.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unfortunately, I've only been able to use the free tier for one of my businesses. The paid tier got delayed through their approval process of 24 hours. However, the free tier is great. just don’t give ML any of your money and you'll be okay.

**Official Response from Lay Kuen Yee:**

> Hi there, I believe I am currently speaking directly to the person regarding this case. However, if this isn't the situation - please send an email to feedback@mailerlite.com, so I can have a further look into this.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2021

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

nothing, it's not working properly. If I have to say one thing, free trial.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

I've set up a test email and send it to my and my wife's emails, 5-6 different mail services.
Outlook, Yahoo, Yandex; my email directly went to the spam box.
Gmail: Promotions box.
Icloud: Bounce

Thus, It was not effective for me.
In addition to this, they suspended my account without warning. I send an email to them to get more info about the suspension.
They said it's the final decision and there is no option to revert it.

This is directly from the first suspension email:
We have completed a review of your account and concluded that your activity meets the criteria of inappropriate use of our service. As a result, we are forced to close your account. In accordance with our terms, we do not provide refunds for this type of termination.

Luckily, didn't pay any penny, otherwise, they do not refund your money as they mentioned in their email.
Please, be careful and try the more professional service that you deserve.

**Recommendations to others considering MailerLite:**

Do not recommend mailer lite.
Due to:
Refund Policy: If you're suspended, they don't refund, even at the testing stage.
GDPR: If your mail's content contains private commercial info(company's competitive edge), its not protected end2end
Customer Service: They may suspend your account without warning, even at the testing stage.
They are many alternatives, try to use them.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

nothing, it's not working properly.

**Official Response from Lay Kuen Yee:**

> Hi there,

It's a shame to hear about your experience with us. I would love to look further into this so we as a company can also understand and improve. In order to do so, we would need further details to access the history of the situation.

If you'd like, you can email me at feedback@mailerlite.com with your information and I can have a further look.

Thank you.

 ### 24. Don't Use Mailer Lite - What a waist of time.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

I didn't like the product. From start to finish.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

My experience was one of deception and misleading information. Don't pay for this product. Don't walk but run from this company. They have no idea what an agency needs from a vendor.

**Recommendations to others considering MailerLite:**

Do not use this product for anything but an individual person doing light emails. It's not built for the needs of an agency.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Waisted a bunch of time with rookies.

 ### 25. Great promises / Poor Results

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2020

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

As a replacement for Constant Contact, Fresh Mail was everything I wanted and more. Beautiful templates, easy customization, better segmentation, and most of all, a great price that was a fraction of what Constant Contact was charging.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

We would spend time creating emails to send out and they would be bounced. Many of our emails showed up as spam if they were even able to be delivered at all. We ran our contacts to make sure they were good and they were. Fresh Mail just wouldn't get the messages to our patrons. Their customer service team kept coming up with excuses. We went back to Constant Contact.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking to save some money for our nonprofit organization so we went with Fresh Mail which had considerable savings over Constant Contact. The problem was that Fresh Mail couldn't get our email messages delivered to our contact list properly without issue.

 ### 26. They’re scammers. Fake.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2020

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

Nothing at all. They’re total scammers and will take your money.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Trustpilot review left, and I have many others on their way. You scammers.

Refund my money in full within 3 days or I will not remove any of my reviews. TSB have advised they will be doing a chargeback in 15 days, unless you refund yourselves

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing.

 ### 27. Don't let the price blind you

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amber T. | Business Strategist, Professional Training & Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2018

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

Honestly there's nothing I like about this platform. I originally looked into working with them because I liked that they offer landing pages.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Their customer support is a joke. They only seem to return emails in the middle of the night which then leads to yet another day of unsolved problems. Mind you I live in the middle of the US so it's not like I'm in a wonky time zone. Then THEY failed to check my fully working site and claimed it's "inadequate" (it's a entrepreneurial blog with multiple posts and pages) so they put me on probation and limited me to 500 subscribers, while aware I have 4k+ I'm trying to migrate from a different CRM. It was a total circus and their incompetency just blows my mind.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to house my landing pages with my CRM, which is why I originally thought to switch to Mailerlite.

 ### 28. Product & Support is good but very Unprofessional Customer Management

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2018

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

One of the main factor we liked most about mailerlite is their pricing, they are very cheaper than their competitors.
We liked the product and its simplicity of usage.
Their drag and drop email designing tool is also much simple to use and readymade templates.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Unprofessional Customer Management. Be prepared to get your account closed without any prior notice or specific reason.
If your business has multiple products than it will be complex to use mailerlite as they have complex system.
Their API is very outdated, you will not find API references for latest technology stack. You will fine very hard time if you are using Node js or any recent technologies for your project and wants to integrate mailchimp APIs with it.
Some of their functionalities are very hard coded which makes it harder to be customize the way you wants to use it.

**Recommendations to others considering MailerLite:**

Be prepared to get your account closed anytime without any prior notice and any strong reason.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email Marketing for our eCommerce Retail Clothing business.
We are saving money by using Mailerlite.
Overall its very easy to use and very simple product that does not required much more learning time and understanding of some complex things.

 ### 29. Freshmail is holding my email list hostage

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2018

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

I chose Freshmail because their forms were easy to customize, however their negative attitude outshines any positives they may have.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Freshmail has the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. I own a small startup with only about 300 emails on our list, which Freshmail has decided to take hostage along with the email lists of what I assume are many other companies. The justification they have given is that they cancelled all free accounts, and claim they sent notifications which I did not receive. As an email marketing company, you would think they could make sure that emails get to people. I had an employee working on solving the problem for weeks before having to step in myself, yet the problem has still not been resolved. At first they were demanding a payment of £300 in order to retrieve our email list, which was then reduced to £108 under the pretence of signing us up for the smallest package, as the free one had apparently been discontinued. However, when I went to their website to confirm something, the free package is still listed on the page, clear as day. They have been terrible responding to emails, and we have had to contact them through multiple channels to keep the conversation going. They promise to respond within certain time periods and then don't, assuming we will forget about the issue, wasting both our time and their own. They also have been caught changing their story, first claiming that the £300 was for "engineering resources" to undelete our emails, then saying that they stopped our list from being deleted. Do not use this service, there are many others on the market who will not try to scam you or hold your data hostage.

**Recommendations to others considering MailerLite:**

Do not use Freshmail

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

 ### 30. Mailerlite Review

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2017

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

I like how easy it is to change the colors of the different sections of the newsletter and the links. This program is designed to be completely drag and drop.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

I did not like the lack of segmentation options and found the general email testing options to be clunky.

**Recommendations to others considering MailerLite:**

If you are looking for a cheap alternative to Mailchimp and list segmentation/upkeep is not your primary concern, then Mailerlite might be a good solution for your email needs. Otherwise, I would not recommend this product.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Mailerlite to send out emails about upcoming events for my business. We saw a small increase in free Eventbrite tickets purchased.

 ### 31. Frustrated

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2017

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

I liked the best interface and also fast customer service.
The navigation bar and templates are nice
Design development is just drag and drop.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

- I have paid 20$ for 5000 users but could not use more than 1000 emails
- They evaluate your data base then only would allow to increase the number of mails sent out. That was not stated in the beginning
- I needed to split my mail list to meet the 1000 criteria. That was not that convenient.
- I actually wasted my time. Because they told my mailing list did not meet their criteria.
- They evaluation system is not flexible and based on western world matrix. My company is based in Cambodia and we basically had 5% bounce rate of emails, so my account was blocked.

**Recommendations to others considering MailerLite:**

Do not purchase the paid version. Try the free one first and read all they rules. There are many. Some are not that clear.
Honestly I think I wasted my time with the service. Would NOT recommend.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a simple service for direct mails to reach customers who have registered with our company.

 ### 32. Easy to setup but poor customer service.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2017

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

Was super fast to set up and great pricing compared to the competition. Emails looked nice and clean and straight to the point on getting it the way I wanted. Good place to come to if you don't post often.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Need more templates. Turns out you can only include up to 10 posts per email with RSS campaigns. This was not stated up front before signing up or at least not completely obvious before forking over money. They don't give refunds. Customer service doesn't seem like they understand their own product.

**Recommendations to others considering MailerLite:**

Do not go with MailerLite if you publish more than 10 times a campaign.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Needed an RSS to email.

 ### 33. MailerLite is the worst

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2017

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

The price is decent, but it doesn't matter because they will take your money.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

I usually don't write reviews but I had to write a review on this one. I had to upgrade in order to send emails to all my subscribers only to find out that I can't send broadcast because the emails on my automation doesn't follow their rules. When I asked for refund they said that they can't give refund because I already send emails to my subscribers but I can't send any emails because they won't approved the account. They should've said that from the beginning, you will loose your money stay away from this MailerLite and go with another Email provider.

**Recommendations to others considering MailerLite:**

Don't waste your money, go with another email provider.

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This company is a joke and they have the worst customer service.

 ### 34. Very disappointed, much lower open rates than Mail Chimp and Send Grid. I do NOT recommend

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ulises G. | Director, Human Resources, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2015

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with Mailer Lite, I experienced the lower open rates from the 3 mailing providers I have used (Mail chimp and SendGrid) I was getting 20% open rates, when I changed to mailer lite I got average of 10%, with the same type of newsletter. Additionally when doing pre sales questions I got incomplete information, to bad for me they also don´t offer refunds, I just canceled my account as I was not able to trust them after I found I got incomplete information and realised much lower open rates. I guess Mailer lite is apparently cheap, but I ended up losing full year payment.

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

Lower open rates, something was wrong with email deliverability. Additionally I got incomplete information when doing a pre sale question, If I would have got complete information I would have not bought the annual plan. After I realised I could not trusted them I decided to cancel my account.

**Recommendations to others considering MailerLite:**

It is cheap, but that is at a cost, your email open rate will decrease and they are not honest doing business

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weekly newsletter

 ### 35. VIRTUALLY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE ONCE THEY GOT ME TO SIGN UP

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2016

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

I liked that the company offered to help but am disappointed that months later after numerous inquiries I haven't received a single email back

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

I was told by customer service reps that they would help me transition from aWeber once I signed up so I did. Once they got me in there, they never answered a single query about assistance again. Just disappeared!

**Recommendations to others considering MailerLite:**

definitely not

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

no benefits because never got started

 ### 36. Awful customer support, too much demands, stay away

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2016

**What do you like best about MailerLite?**

Cheap for large number of subscribers and good design options

**What do you dislike about MailerLite?**

The customer support. They don't explain things well and are rude. You will not hear things like "please". Expect from you to know everything about email marketing and want to get rid of you right away. They need to approve each campaign.

**Recommendations to others considering MailerLite:**

Watch out,

**What problems is MailerLite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The only real benefit is the price. Everything other basically sucks when compared to MailChimp (I've only used MailChimp). It is slower, the open rate is slightly lower, although the design options are good.
