What do you like best about Magento Open Source?

What I like best is that it has many functionalities. Even the default version. For example, you have multi language stores, multi currency, B2B or B2C options, easy to integrate with many payment options. And a Beautiful design, with many not expensive templates and configurations options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Magento Open Source?

What I dislike the most is the many maintenance costs. For example, you can expect to spend around 200 usd per month for a good hosting, plus 2 or 3 daily hours of troubleshooting technical maintenance (for example, pages that give error, need to install an extension, optimize speed, etc). Recommendations to others considering Magento Open Source:

Magento is great. I really like it. And I am thankful that they are giving it for free, while doing such a great work. At the same time, Magento is not for everyone. It is easy to like because it has multilanguage stores, multi currency, tons of flexibility. It probably beats Shopify in many aspects. I think that if you are selling more than 20,000 USD per month, it can be a good option. Shopify I think is also a good option, especially if you are under that figure. What problems is Magento Open Source solving and how is that benefiting you?

We create an ecommerce shop that converts. It can scale very well. I think it is one of the most popular options for big ecommerce shops, and it makes sense and it is well worth the good reputation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
