Easy to record and trim videos, sound quality is great. Having a library of stored videos that I can go back to and edit is fantastic. Loom has been a game changer in our business, I have been able to build processes and provide training by sharing loom videos with team members. I love that they can view videos at anytime

I wish I had more time to spend on enhancing my videos.

**What do you like best about Loom?**

These quick looms allow me to share any questions, comments, or concerns about a process.  It allows me to work with all stakeholders, both internal and external.  With these looms, I can clearly show what to do and reduce miscommunications.  In addition, anyone can watch the loom.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

How do more people not know about this product?  I used these to work on our annual audit with DT, and it got to a point where they would send an email with a question and ask at the end, "Feel free to send a loom with your reply".  They loved them as well, making our audit run much smoother. But they had never seen this tech stack.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing the number of meetings, increase efficency working async, and reduce miss communications when trying to explain through an email and screenshots.

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loom has been super helpful in creating short explanations of how to use Lucid software for my clients, either in a support capacity for current clients or for showing rather than telling prospective clients. I love how easy it is to record and then share the video.

Every time I've made a video, I've gotten great feedback. My clients have appreciated the extra effort rather than sending them to a support page link.

I've also used it to document and explain how processes work with my Lucid flowcharts. Video can be a powerful way to complement a visual process. The video can be embedded right within the Lucidchart for easy access.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Loom is great! No complaints. I don't dislike anything about Loom.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Explaining how to do something via the written word can be hard sometimes, especially if the support question is easy to answer but would take a paragraph to explain. So rather than taking multiple screenshots and writing a lengthy email, I can create a 30-60-second loom. Boom done! I save time and impress the customer, and we both win.

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Super simple to use, the sharing feature works very well. Browser extension works well, MacOS app, too.
Used to have issues with long recording of "current tab" on browser, but it's finally gone!

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Doesn't support multiple sessions on the MacOS app.
I have several business, all using Loom, and I wish I could switch account easily.

And/or for one account to have multiple identities (recording a Loom as a "Product Team" or as "myself" is useful sometimes) we could easily switch from one to another.

I'm a consultant and I do recording for various clients, I don't always want to assume the same identity while doing so, and I don't want to pay for multiple Loom accounts, either. I currently do it all under the same account, but it's not ideal.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it to:
- Record videos for training I provide online (https://nocodable.io/course/decouvrir-airtable-a-360---prix-limites-astuces-secrets-et-bonnes-pratiques)
- Record videos to explain bugs to 3rd parties - they love it
- Record videos to explain things to my team/partners
- Share those by Slack, emails (Gmail embedding is awesome)

I used to use Screencastify, and Loom is far better. Slightly more expensive, like 20% more I'd say, but much better to use, less friction, faster.

**What do you like best about Loom?**

It's so easy to use and implement. I use Loom every single day, mainly for creating training videos for our team and short reports for clients. I love how easy it is to search for previous recordings if you named them well. I also love how the AI tools can turn your video into a step-by-step guide or SOP instantly for you. It's literally freed up someone's job so that we can focus them on other things. When we send our own clients step-by-step trainings to help them when they're stuck, they have thanked us for the clarity we provided - but really it's thanks to Loom for creating the clear guide from our video.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

There's honestly nothing I dislike about Loom. It's one of my top three tools.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's fast-tracked our ability to create internal SOPs (which used to be extremely time-consuming). And when platforms or procedures change, it makes it easy for us to quickly create a new SOP. We can also create short videos that explain reports to our clients as well.

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I like the ease of use. I like the ability to organize my recordings so I can give someone access to multiple screen shots they can follow. I love the background noise removal. Finally, I really like being able to record the screen and the conversation as I am teaching someone a particular program or method then I just send the the recording of the training and now they have a recording of their personal trianing that is just the two of us. It is fantastic and has saved me probably months of time, considering I have over 500 videos shot so far!

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I use two screens and wish I could default the controls to the second screen, I move them after starting just a bit annoying.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asyncronous learning has been a huge help the ability to have videos I can send out to explain certaing programs or processes. Also we needed a location for storing videos and more recently Loom has taken this role as well.

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loom works straight out oft he box. It's easy to work with and has awesome features, even for a free user. The Slack intergration saves even more time (if that was even possible!)

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I honestly never had a single issue with Loom. If I could think of something it would probably be the screenshot tool working locally instead of having to upload the shot on loom and share it. But I almost never use it for that function.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work with startups across the world and the timezones vary massively. Instead of me waiting to have a face to face catchup, often times I resolve to just sending them a Loom. They can watch it whenever they want while I am sleeping :) 

At the same time I do a lot of the in-depth analysis of their product while recording on Loom. That helps me a lot with Engineers because it's hard for a non engineer to put down in words what a bug they encountered was all about. 

There are so many problems that loom is solving but most importantly it gives me my time back. As a consultant (and a busy dad) this is the biggest resource it can provide me with.

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loom saves me from having multiple calls and online meetings with my team. A problem can be easily shared with me, allowing me to troubleshoot the issue and share a "fix it" video. Loom is also a great way to communicate, it's like having a meeting without having a meeting and who doesn't love that? Further, Loom makes it easy for me to create training materials for my team or convert troubleshooting videos to team training. Overall, Loom saves me time and energy. Loom has been easy to train my team members on; we have a few people who are computer illiterate and they are able to navigate the platform. Having the Loom extension makes it convenient to create a video at any time and it easily integrates with our system.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I don't see any downsides that Loom can control. I don't like seeing or hearing myself on the videos, but I'm learning to love it :)

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom allows me to make my point without being interrupted. Often when troubleshooting live, the person whom I'm helping will speak over me, jump ahead or just not listen. By using Loom I can keep their attention and if they get sidetracked it doesn't take my time. Further I'm able to turn troubleshooting into training which means I don't have to explain the same thing over and over. Creating SOPs with easy steps has never been easier.

We get to record complex ideas and use tools like Miro to illustrate what we do. No more boring documents or ambiguous PowerPoint slides.

It took me a few mistakes to master Loom. That was just me having to learn. I do not dislike anything about Loom.

Loom solves the problem of us being able to communicate complex ideas without resorting to boring documents or presentations that nobody reads. The benfit for us is that we get our point across, and people seem to want to watch our recordings. It also helps us to show what we do in our various tools like Miro, Figma, PowerPoint, Power Canvas, etc.

click a button, record, click another - send the link. AI features become quite useful, with action items, title and the description done automatically. Just an an amazing overall time saver. I use it daily for several years now, which accounts to hundreds of hours of meetings otherwise. Also, the embed version for trello makes it super easy to put videos into descriptions, with ability to play them without leaving the card. Amazing stuff, really.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

the controls for the app - the buttons and timer on the side cannot be "hidden" on video only for some reason. there's a setting for that, but it doesn't work for me on the mac. given how much I love the app, this little downside I ignore.

much easier than writing a documentation with screenshots. just way more convenient than explaining something in written form when it's about specific app actions

The best aspect of Loom is its seamless and instant high-quality screen and video recording feature, which I primarily use to create tutorials and how-to videos. Additionally, it offers the capability to transcribe recorded videos into more than 50 different languages. I also appreciate its 14-day free trial, which is beneficial for anyone looking to evaluate the software before making a purchase.

Though it offers great video and sound recording quality, being entirely dependent on the internet can sometimes lead to lag. This may even require re-recording the same content, which can be frustrating.

I don't think there's anything I dislike about Loom.....

I can create instant instructional videos on how to use software. while showing the software. Previously, I would have had to schedule a meeting and then set up the software on a screen to show users how to do the steps. Or, I would've written out the instructions. Now I do a quick video. It takes a fraction of the time it used to take.

It does the job well enough, though some sites where you'd like to embed your videos don't support Loom.

I dislike the fact that they charged my card for the subscription renewal (annual plan) without sending me an email first. Not a fan of such surprises. That being said, I was planning to renew. The product itself is quite good.

It lets me quickly make and share product demos with customers. It's also a useful tool for explaining software issues I'm seeing with our engineering team.

It's simple, clean and professional. The AI features to cut filler words and silences automatically has made video a viable and beautiful option for cold sales pitches and the training I run with clients.

I would like a more advanced video trim feature. Currently video snips can only be added or shifted to the start of end.

It's differentiating my sales pitches by making them personal. My prospects can see the human speaking to them so I can engage and build liking and rapport - Something that cannot be done as effectively in text.

The video cropping portion seems a bit hard to use. In all honestly, I have not used it in a while, so perhaps that has improved since last time I did.

I'd like to be able to have the paid version for a little cheaper right now it is currently out of budget. But the free version has been getting us by just fine. I am curious though as to if the paid version will increase productivity more. Customer support has been good and I appreciate the number of features loom has to offer. My team frequently uses loom and the implementation has been easy. Integration has also been easy as well as in general that use of use for our employees.

It is so easy to use. I love that you can seamlessly choose to record with or without camera, and choose what you're sharing on your screen. I've found this so easy to use to collaborate with colleagues and share product enablement videos with customers.

The feature that speeds up your video is fantastic, and I love the new trial AI features that summarise your video - I've found this so helpful.

I would love it if the option to anoynmously view a video was removed - it would be great to be able to see who had viewed and reacted.

As the head of a Customer Support department, I find myself using Loom daily. It's extremely useful for creating how to videos for customers or recreating issues and recording them to share with my Development team.

Nothing major comes to mind. The only thing I can think of is I will sometimes see lag with the clickable links on the top right rendering on the page.

For free users, they should increase the time limit.

Loom is the most reliable and easiest-to-use way for me to make a video recording with screen share when I can't have a meeting with someone. The Chrome extension makes it 10 times easier to start recording in 5 seconds. I particularly like the AI features, especially the auto-generated chapters in the video and description.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

This may be because my internet connection fails sometimes, but once in a very blue moon, when I'm using the desktop app, my video recording fails to upload to Loom. It loads for what feels like an eternity, making the most reasonable next step re-recording the video.

Also, how your profile pic at the corner of the video reloads when you change tabs.

Love that I can give, show and record tasks for my team for better understanding. These have then become a support to our team wide SOPs and training materials.

Don't love that I can't rearrange or order the videos. Not super user friendly in terms of being able to copy and move or arrange videos between spaces and library.

Saves lots of time not writing emails and giving instructions. Also helpful for meetings I want my team to see but can't be in/on.

We love the ability to share multiple libraries with any of of many clients in an easy to user easy to access venue. While limiting access is simple, allowing access is just as easy. Once the video is uploaded our clients can view as many time as they need with out requiring assistance from our team. This frees up time that in the past was dedicated to answering emails and forwarding videos on a as needed basis.

The edit function does not allow you to edit out the parts you want removed , it makes you keep the parts you like which does not jive with any other sofware I have used.

It's super intuitive for the person recording, and even more importantly it's very user-friendly for the receiver. I've never once had anyone come back to me with problems viewing the video.

Nothing. It's been fantastic. Even the way they've divided their paid and free features is very fair and straightforward, which is rare. I've used the paid features with clients and they're great but when I have to use a free version it's still highly functional.

When giving feedback on creative projects, it's quite clunky to try to explain exactly which part you're looking at and what you want changed. When you're recording the screen you can show the exact part you're giving feedback on and record your feedback as a voiceover.

Sometimes it is easier to show someone something rather than trying to describe it. Loom allows me to share my screen and explain exactly what I am referring to when it comes to questions with our software products. It also allows me to record screen and show teammates how I am doing certain actions in our CRM, and expalin and show how they can access the same tools. I use it every day.

Overall it's been amazing, I started on the free account then when I realized how much time it was saving me (with making tutorials for a remote team) it was an easy decision to start paying for it. They also roll out new features so I feel they really listen to feedback. I love how easy it is to use, even if you are not tech-savvy it's easy to use. It's easy to organize my recordings with folders and share them with team members and clients. It saves me so much time by creating short screen recordings versus having to have a meeting. It's also low-cost compared to other software solutions. I use it daily and have created 100's of tutorials using it. The ease of use and integration is great too.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I have no cons for it, I think it's great. Even the free account offers a lot.

Need to teach ohter team members how to do something (tutorials) or them asking me questions and then doing a video versus setting up a meeting. So it's saving me LOTS of time, hours really.

I like being able to record a cicle overlay of my face along with a slide deck for my prospective clients.

I like the custom area recording option, although I wonder if there's an easier way to do this.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The interop between the desktop & web client is wonky AF. I record a take on the app, I see the recording immediately in a broswer tab, but I can't delete it? Maybe I'm missing some obvious UI?

I'd like the ability to set my custom recording area, and then change window focus, before hitting record. I keep carefully creating a custom area, then clicking away so I can advance my slides, only to undo my custom recording area.

I don't get a reminder in the online version that custom area isn't available & I should go to the desktop app for that option.

I understand the precedent of using dark gray outside the custom area, but it's super difficult to tell what window has focus. This means every time I record a custom area, I have to spend 10 to 15 seconds getting focus correct, then trim that first part off the video. Maybe custom area could have a longer countdown? Is that configurable? I haven't found the option yet.

I have a 4.5 minute video that I want my prospective clients to watch before we have a discovery call. This ensures I don't have to walk through that content during our call.

From a customer support / success angle I am able to share guides with clients who may be unable / unwilling to get into a zoom call.

I love that I get a notification when someone views my looms too, so I know that they're actually getting the information they need.

Easy to get started, videos do in fact replace meetings for our team, and helps people contribute to our technical knowledgebase via demoing something (rather than writing up an explanation).

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

1. It's buggy. Probably 2 out of 10 videos have some kind of playback issue, and we spend more time trying to fix it, work around it, or re-rerecord the part of the video that doesn't work than we saved by using Loom in the first place. The Windows app is also terrible. I have to force quit after recording each video because it never releases my audio & mic, and this is after working with support who just suggested to unsintall & re-install it. 
This service is very expensive for how much we use it. I wish there were better pricing options for teams where users record a video every week or two.. If a similar competitor came out that was cheaper for us, I'd jump immediately.

There is no support to call and get things working when they dont work and your online support stuff is useless. Wasted heaps of time and totally frustrated and wasting money.

Saves time and we can review the video to confirm what was presented and therefore comlete the work thoroughly when the client approves going ahead. A technical issue developed with one of the updates and once i start using loom, my computer doesn't see any of my printers. Technical support was unable to find the cause and determined it was an isolated issue and closed the case with out resolution. I have to resart my printer every time I use loom so I can start printing again.

I wanted to document my on-line business processes to create an series of procedures. As a small business, I don't have time to develop written procedures which are too difficult to use in on-line systems.

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I have an auditory processing disorder, which means that I don't always process auditory information well since it can't stay in my working memory long enough to convert to long-term memory like it does for most people. It does not mean I'm stupid. It just means that I have to work a little harder to compensate for my slight impairment. I carry a writing utensil and notebook with me everywhere that I go so I can record bits of information that I may need at a later time. Loom has been a game changer for me in that my teammates can send me a Loom and I can review it several times, if needed without wasting their time to repeat instructions for any processes that I may need to learn or know to do my job. It really doesn't take much effort at all.

I haven't found anything that I haven't liked about Loom!

Loom helps me solve the problem of having to ask for repeated instructions for a process or task when my auditory processing does not allow me to absorb information that I need the first time.
