"Quick Screen Recordings That Replace Long Conversations"

What do you like best about Loom?

I mostly use Loom when I realize that explaining something in a message is going to take much longer than just showing it. I record my screen, talk through what I'm doing and send the link. Usually a two-minute video replaces a pretty long conversation.

I also like that I don't really have to prepare anything. I can start recording, explain the problem or show an example, and that's it. It's especially convenient when we're not all working at the same time and there's no reason to schedule another call just for a small question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

Sometimes I start recording something that should take two minutes and end up with a much longer video because I made a mistake or explained something badly halfway through. Editing it afterward is possible, but for small recordings I usually don't want to spend time on that, so I just record it again.

It's not really a problem with Loom itself, but I do wish fixing a small part of a recording felt a little quicker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest benefit for me is that Loom reduces the number of small calls we need to have. If I need to explain a process, give feedback on something or show where a problem is, I can record it once and the other person can watch it whenever they have time.

It works especially well for things that are difficult to explain with screenshots or text. I can show exactly what I'm looking at and what I mean, so there is usually much less back and forth afterward. It saves time for both sides and keeps our calendars a little less crowded.
