"Loom Makes Bug Reports and Walkthroughs Fast, Clear, and Effortless"

5/5

What do you like best about Loom?

I started using Loom mainly because explaining certain issues over a call or in a long email isn’t always practical. Recording a quick screen video with my voice is much faster and more straightforward. When I find a bug, I can show exactly how to reproduce it, what I expected to happen, and what actually happened instead. Developers usually understand the issue much more quickly after watching the recording.

I’ve also used Loom to explain testing scenarios, share automation results, and do small walkthroughs for teammates. I like that I can record, copy the link, and send it right away without worrying about uploading large video files. Overall, it saves a lot of back-and-forth and helps avoid misunderstandings. What do you dislike about Loom?

Honestly, I don’t have many complaints. Every now and then I end up recording the same video again because I miss a step or say something wrong, but that’s more on me than on the product.

For longer recordings, I do wish there were a few more built-in editing options so I wouldn’t have to switch to another tool. Other than that, it’s been straightforward and reliable whenever I’ve needed it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solves a problem I run into pretty often as a QA engineer: trying to explain an issue using only text. Even with a few screenshots and a long description, things still aren’t always clear. Recording a quick two-minute video usually communicates the problem much better.

I also find it useful for demonstrating a new feature, showing automation results, or walking someone through a process step by step. Instead of scheduling a meeting, I can send a recording, and the other person can watch it whenever they have time.

For me, the biggest benefit is improved communication overall. It cuts down on misunderstandings, saves time for both QA and developers, and helps issues get understood and resolved faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
