We used LiveVoice at SightCity, the world's largest trade fair for aids for blind and visually impaired people. It was used on four live stages with continuous daily programs: in the Forum, in the Gaming Lab, at the Workshops, and at the Symposium. Visitors on-site could listen to the original sound or choose the AI translation via their own smartphone, depending on the lecture language, into English or German. The software itself is barrier-free and can be operated with screen readers like VoiceOver, a crucial point for our audience. Additionally, a live transcription in both languages ran on the stage monitors. We also streamed all stages online via Zoom. Online participants could access the audio channels and subtitles from home. Original sound, translation, and subtitles come from one system, without rental devices and without additional interpreting technology. I would particularly like to highlight the collaboration: The LiveVoice team, especially Johannes Wiegand, worked closely with us and our technicians to integrate the solution into our setup. The support was fast, personal, and solution-oriented, both in preparation and during the fair. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We didn't notice any real weaknesses. Minor issues during the fair were on our own technical side, such as not having a computer available at every stage continuously. Our tip for other organizers: plan enough end devices per stage and check the network coverage at the venue in advance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
