What do you like best about LINQPad?

* It is a lightweight editor that runs queries faster than Visual Studio.

* It has a well-organized result view that saves hundreds of hours of debugging in Visual Studio.

* It supports Entity Framework, LINQ, and traditional SQL scripts. You can run the same data sources from your web APIs without hassle.

* It is free to download and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LINQPad?

* The UI looks outdated. The app may freeze on newer versions of the Windows operating system.

* There is minimal scope for collaborative work and no options to export query files.

* The editor does not indicate what is wrong with queries until they are run. However, the new AI Help option has somewhat addressed this problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LINQPad solving and how is that benefiting you?

In the early stages of development, when APIs are not yet finalized and the repository has not been set up, developers can use Linqpad to begin working on table query-related operations and prepare LINQ queries. This can save time and help meet deliverable timelines. Additionally, for beginners, Linqpad makes it easy to visualize database queries without the need to run Visual Studio consoles for debugging.
