What do you like best about levelator?

I enjoy the ease with which voices are leveled, providing a full "radio sound" that raises the credibility of podcasters who use it. It reduces production time and the trial and error rounds of troubleshooting. It is simply a drag and drop function, outputting the corrected audio file for input into the audio editor of your choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about levelator?

I don't use it on full mixes - it can do unpredictable things with music. I isolate the voice tracks, run them through Levelator, then bring them back into Audacity and mix it with other elements. Aside from this concern about music, I have no complaints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering levelator:

I'd recommend using this in your workflow. It will greatly help eliminate undesirable dynamic range in voice audio, creating fullness and presence in your recordings. I don't recommend it for full mixes that include music, but for solving voice volume disparities, both single and multi-voice situations, like phone based recordings, it is extremely helpful. What problems is levelator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Levelator has improved sound quality, creating a fuller sound with more presence and saving production time that would have been used to manually achieve the same effect. To achieve this with other tools requires manual trial and error. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
