What do you like best about Lark?

What I like most about Lark is that it brings many essential business tools into one platform. Instead of using separate applications for communication, task management, approvals, forms, databases, and automation, we can manage most of these activities within the same ecosystem.

I particularly use Lark Base, Automation, and Messenger on a daily basis. Lark Base is very flexible because it can be connected with forms, dashboards, approvals, calendars, and automated workflows. The ability to build and automate business processes without requiring programming skills is also a major advantage.

What do you dislike about Lark?

The main thing I dislike about Lark is that the application can feel quite heavy, especially on entry-level mobile devices. We have also experienced occasional issues when submitting forms with multiple images, where the upload fails and the user has to fill out the form again.

I also think the form experience could be improved by adding a Save as Draft feature, especially for longer forms that are completed on mobile.

Another area that needs improvement is document compatibility. When importing documents from Microsoft Word, the original formatting and layout can sometimes change, requiring additional manual adjustments.

Lark Base and Automation are already very powerful, but I believe they could be made even more flexible for more complex use cases and integrations. These improvements would make Lark even more reliable and suitable for broader business operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lark solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lark is helping us solve the problem of having too many separate tools for different business needs. Before using Lark, we relied on multiple applications for communication, document management, task management, approvals, meetings, and operational processes. This made information more fragmented and required us to manage multiple subscriptions.

With Lark, we can centralize many of these activities in one ecosystem. Communication through Messenger, data and task management through Lark Base, and automated workflows and approvals can all work together. This makes it easier for our teams to collaborate, share files, track tasks, and monitor processes without constantly switching between different applications.

Lark has also significantly reduced manual work, especially for approval processes and repetitive operational tasks. We can build workflows and automations without requiring programming skills, which allows us to adapt the system to our business processes more quickly.

Another benefit is cost efficiency. By consolidating many functions into one platform, we can reduce our dependency on multiple third-party tools and their subscription costs.
