What do you like best about Lark?

What I like most about Lark is that it is a comprehensive, all-in-one workspace platform. It seamlessly integrates essential communication and productivity tools—including messaging, video meetings, email, calendars, and cloud storage—into a single interface. Having everything in one place eliminates the hassle of constantly switching between different applications, as all our discussions, documents, and meetings are centralized.

Additionally, I really appreciate its powerful search functionality. It makes finding specific files, messages, or information fast and effortless. What do you dislike about Lark?

While Lark offers advanced document creation capabilities with Lark Docs and Sheets, its file import and export compatibility with external document formats needs significant improvement.

Formatting Breakdown on Import: When importing external files, particularly .doc or .docx documents from Microsoft Word, the original layout often becomes distorted. This is especially noticeable with embedded tables, where cell formatting, borders, and column alignments break upon import.

Table Handling & Export Issues: When creating documents directly in Lark Docs that contain long, multi-page tables, exporting them presents major usability challenges. Long tables often get improperly truncated/cut off at page breaks during export, or in some cases, Lark automatically converts the tables into static images instead of retaining them as editable text and standard formatting.

Impact:

These issues disrupt seamless collaboration and cause noticeable friction in our workflow. Team members have to spend unnecessary time manually re-formatting imported files and fixing broken tables before sharing deliverables with clients. Furthermore, converting exported tables into images limits further editing by recipients and creates visual inconsistencies in formal documentation.

Suggestions for Improvement:

Enhance the Import/Export Engine: Upgrade the document conversion engine to preserve native Microsoft Word structures, text alignments, and editable table layouts more reliably.

Proper Multi-page Table Exporting: Ensure long tables flow naturally across page breaks during export without getting cut off or flattened into images.

Import Preview Feature: Provide a quick layout preview before finalizing imports, allowing users to spot and adjust formatting discrepancies upfront. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lark solving and how is that benefiting you?

Unified Meeting Workflow & Cost Efficiency

The Problem Solved: Previously, scheduling required Google Calendar and video calls had to be conducted via Zoom, forcing us to manage and pay for multiple separate platforms.

How It Benefits Me: Everything is now integrated natively inside Lark. I can schedule, invite, and conduct meetings within the same application. When recording meetings, I save them directly to Lark's cloud storage—freeing up local laptop storage and ensuring recordings are always accessible. Eliminating the need for third-party subscriptions like Zoom also saves operational costs.

Streamlined Project & Task Management

The Problem Solved: Managing deliverables across disconnected apps often resulted in missed deadlines and poor visibility into team workloads.
