We use Kontent.ai to manage almost everything across our two websites, and it has been flexible enough to support our day-to-day content needs as well as ongoing website development.
Our favourite thing about Kontent.ai is that it is intuitive and easy to use, which makes onboarding new colleagues straightforward and helps people across different teams get involved in managing website content.
The review and approval workflows are particularly valuable for cross-team collaboration. They allow us to bring colleagues outside the marketing team into the process, share responsibility for tasks and reduce the workload on marketing, saving our team hours of admin work each week.
It’s also straightforward to manage development and live environments separately, test changes throughout the development process, and work collaboratively with our web developers and external partners to deliver our website objectives.
The AI features are another useful addition, helping with specific tasks and making certain parts of the workflow more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the approval workflows are really useful, it would be helpful if they could be configured for specific component types rather than applying site-wide. Currently, even marketing team members have to send certain components to themselves for approval, which adds unnecessary steps to the process. More flexibility to tailor approval workflows to different content types and teams would make the platform even more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review!
It’s great to hear Kontent.ai is helping you manage two websites, bring colleagues outside marketing into the process, and save your team hours of admin each week. Reusing content across reports and documents, and testing safely in separate environments, is exactly how we hope teams will work with the platform.
On approval workflows: you can set up separate workflows for specific content types and collections, each with its own steps and roles. That means content your marketing team owns could follow a lighter workflow without the self-approval step, while other content keeps a full review. Your Customer Success Manager would be happy to walk through this with you.
