What do you like best about Kilo Code?

The open-source nature of their product and speed of innovation.

Also, the BYOK feature is a massive cost-saver for us. It allows us to swap in our own subscriptions and experiment with different open-weight models depending on the project (whilst given us more control over where and to whom data flows), which keeps our inference costs low.

Finally, their automated code review service has become a core part of our workflow. It’s highly token-efficient, utilising proper token caching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kilo Code?

The only real drawback is their web-based documentation. It definitely needs some work and can be quite hard to navigate and search effectively when you're looking for a specific configuration detail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kilo Code solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've used Kilo from day one of the agentic coding revolution and we haven't been tempted to look elsewhere.

As a small web agency, the biggest win with Kilo Code is total lack of vendor lock-in. We don't use standard VS Code locally - our team relies heavily on a custom code-server for our cloud dev environments, and Kilo integrates there flawlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
