What do you like best about Kickbox?

We run a lead generation site and every form we send to our partners has to have a real email on it. We check the email while the person is still filling out the form, so speed matters a lot. Kickbox answers fast enough that people don't notice it, usually well under half a second for us. The API is simple and the results are easy to act on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kickbox?

Risky and unknown results (catch-all domains, mostly) still need a decision on our side, so it is not a pure yes or no for every address. Took a bit of thinking to decide what to block and what to let through. Pricing is per check, so you want to make sure you are not validating the same email over and over. What problems is Kickbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

We moved to Kickbox from xVerify earlier this year. Our problem was not bad emails getting through, it was good ones getting blocked. Real people with perfectly fine addresses were being told their email was invalid, and some of them just gave up on the form. Every one of those was a lost lead we had paid to bring to the page. Since the switch, real addresses go through and the form stays out of the way, while true typos still get caught so the person can fix them on the spot. The switch itself was easy.
