Recommendations to others considering Kentico:
I seriously only strictly work with Kentico now. It is just that good. I can't recommend it enough. The main reasons that I feel this way are:
The amount of functionality out of the box is truly impressive. I can do content management, e-commerce, social media integration, integration with ERP systems, and much more.
The support that Kentico provides for its products is also top notch. They are open 24/7 and respond very very quickly to any email I send. It's a great feeling to know that I always have a backup in case there is something that I cannot figure out. And if you do find a bug in their software they are committed to fixing it within 7 days, and even plant a tree in your name for every bug you find.
The value based pricing is also huge to me. I can run an enterprise class website on technology that powers very large scalable sites that have over 10,000,000 page views in a single month, 500,000+ pages on one website, 2,000,000+ products in one e-shop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Kentico CMS daily at BizStream and have personally been involved with building over 250 sites for the past 15+ years. My team and I chose Kentico as our CMS of choice after going through what seems like a normal progression of building our own custom CMS from the ground up, moving on to using and customizing open source CMS's like WordPress and Drupal, and then finally realizing that there just has to be a better way.
That better way was Kentico. I am not kidding when I say that after 2 hours of using this product I fell in love with it. Not only was it built on my favorite technologies, SQL, ASP.NET, C#, but it delivered on its claim to be an all-inclusive solution to building websites. The out of the box functionality is great, adding modules such as e-commerce, mobile friendly templates, or blogs is as simple as adding a few web parts to a page template all through the easy to use interface. Building sites with Kentico is extremely fast and easy. I love how transformations and document types are setup so that you can write content once and re-use it in many places on the site.
Another fact that really sold me was that our end customers at BizStream love the sites that we build for them. They constantly give us great feedback on how easy it is to add and update content on their websites. When my customers are happy I am happy.
In summary making new customers and current customers happy is the main business problem that I am solving with Kentico for my business. Kentico allows me to do this.
