I like how well thought out Keelvar is. I appreciate that everything is laid out chronologically around a 7-step RFP process. It’s also been great for improving organization - not only data organization, but overall communication, document organization, and bid sheet organization as well.
I especially enjoy the scenario analysis and the leverage it gives me to show the impact of the bid data I’ve collected in the ways that matter most to my company. Since those priorities can change over time, it helps that the scenarios can shift seamlessly too. Document visibility by supplier and Lot ID visibility by supplier are major advantages as well.
The integrations Keelvar has incorporated are equally valuable. They allow for real-time analytics tied to the market and can be built right into the bid sheet. One might have temptation to be concerned about software performance, given all Keelvar is able to manage and achieve. However, there is no need for concern, as Keelvar flawlessly processes tens-of-thousands of SKUs/lanes, dozens and dozens of documents, complex formulas that calculate automatically, and much more with ease.
The pricing of the tool is also a competitive advantage as well. That's not to say Keelvar has underbid itself. Rather, the investment in Keelvar is worth its weight in gold. For my specific company, we had a return on the overall investment within 12-months, and the ROI has continued to grow.
Not only is the product itself superior to all other eSourcing tools I've come across, but the customer service support availability and onboarding process are strong, too. While I would consider myself an expert user of Keelvar's Souricng Optimizer now, it was not always that way. And even within the doldrum of the days where I was new to the tool and not always certain how to use it, Keelvar customer service support was only ever an email away and always quick to respond. Likewise, onboarding support was provided via email and scheduled video meetings as well, which really helped me to learn the new tool at a much faster rate.
The last note I would make about Keelvar is how strong the AI and logic intelligence is within the tool. Across all eSourcing tools I've used or researched, it's AI and intelligence are superior to all others by far; it's not even close. And while the AI and logic intelligence themselves provide tremendous value, what might be an equally pleasant surprise is how easy Keelvar makes it to leverage the AI and logic intelligence. The learning curve is friendly and the path to leveraging Keelvar fullest capabilities is well laid out and easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall, there’s nothing I dislike about Keelvar. One improvement that would be helpful is a mass upload feature for document visibility configuration, although it’s still fairly easy to manage without it. Another feature I’d love to see is the ability to incorporate lookup tables and lookup functions into Keelvar Sourcing Optimizer logic, especially within formula columns. For instance, if a bidder equals X, then apply Y logic; or if a bidder selects the incoterm DDP, then perform Z calculation logic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
