What do you like best about KarbunWise?

The software is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate, with training sessions provided for new users to perform LCA analyses and use the application effectively. The platform provides access to a wide variety of materials and products with EPDs, allowing users to compare the environmental impacts of different materials and select suitable alternatives. It provides GWP along with a wide range of environmental impact indicators, enabling a comprehensive assessment of material impacts. The platform also helps identify lower-carbon material options and supports embodied carbon reduction in projects. In addition, the customer service support team is responsive to user queries and provides assistance whenever clarification or guidance is required, which is particularly helpful during the LCA assessment process Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about KarbunWise?

The software has a good set of options for GCC baselines, but it can continue to evolve to expand on the options based on different material choices. This would make it further impactful. Opportunity for evolution rather than dislike Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is KarbunWise solving and how is that benefiting you?

KarbonWise was useful for a LEED ID+C project where the client required the selection of materials with lower embodied carbon to meet the project’s sustainability and LEED requirements. The platform enabled us to assess and compare the embodied carbon performance of different material options and identify more suitable lower-carbon alternatives. This streamlined the material selection process, supported compliance with the applicable LEED requirements, and helped the project team achieve the targeted LEED credits and contribute towards certification.
