"Organized Our CRM, But Integration Limitations Persist"
4/5
What do you like best about Kabooly?

I like Kabooly for its straightforward lead‑and‑contact management workflow, which fits my work as Administrative Records Manager within our 44‑person forest‑products operation Pinecrest Paper Group perfectly. Plenty of other CRM tools are stuffed full of fancy sales automation features we will never use for our lumber and pulp wholesale business, cluttering up the screen for our team members who aren’t super comfortable with software. Kabooly keeps its core interface uncluttered, so even our less tech‑oriented sales reps can quickly log buyer inquiries without sitting through lengthy training sessions. Before we rolled out Kabooly, customer order requirements were scattered across personal email threads and conflicting Excel files saved in Egnyte. I still recall that March headache with a wholesale paper distributor looking for custom pulp volumes. Back then I would’ve had to track down our sales rep out at the lumber mill just to get his notes on the buyer’s delivery rules and product specs. Now every rep logs those details straight into Kabooly lead records. I also really value its simple status‑tagging system for leads. Last month I filtered all contacts marked “awaiting contact” and found three wholesale enquiries that had sat untouched for weeks. I alerted our sales team, and they reached out before those potential deals fell through. The flexible note field is another huge win for me. I paste secure Egnyte share links for sales contracts and spec sheets directly onto each lead entry. Even without native Egnyte integration, I can tie critical cloud‑stored paperwork to customer profiles. Kabooly stays focused on practical lead tracking and record‑keeping, helping us keep our day‑to‑day administrative workload under control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kabooly?

First off, there is no native pre-built connector for Egnyte. We store all our sales contracts, lumber specification sheets, purchase agreements, and vendor forms in Egnyte’s secure cloud folders. I cannot embed those Egnyte files directly inside Kabooly lead or customer entries, so I paste secure share links within each lead’s note section. A frustrating incident took place back in April: a summer intern pasted an expired Egnyte link onto a large wholesale pulp buyer’s CRM profile. Right before a scheduled negotiation call, our sales rep clicked the link and could not access critical order documentation. They had to scramble at the last minute and message me to hunt down valid files, creating unnecessary stress ahead of an important client conversation. Secondly, its CSV export function struggles with special characters. We work with multiple buyers and vendors whose surnames include accented Latin characters. When I export filtered lead datasets for our internal operations review, those accented characters get turned into garbled symbols. Last month I spent roughly one-and-a-half hours manually correcting about 17 corrupted rows before I could hand over the cleaned spreadsheet to our operations manager. This repetitive work eats into my admin time and creates risk of misidentifying business contacts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
