I use Junie for programming complex systems. I like the speed of it, and how integrated it is with the IDE. It's able to quickly and efficiently ingest large amounts of context and use small models efficiently. Junie knows what files I'm looking at and uses existing IDE tooling to find context more efficiently than just plain CLI commands. Setting it up was as simple as installing it, which was very straightforward. I also prefer it because GitHub Copilot was slow with bad suggestions and had awful integration with JetBrains. I wish it was easier to attach plugins to Junie, and have it generate artifacts we can iterate on, similar to codex and Claude. It can attach to MCP just fine, but it doesn't have default deeper integration beyond the IDE itself. It's also not easy to branch conversations like in other tools, which would be beneficial for my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
