**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like it because it’s very easy to use. Since I’m a release manager, it helps me a lot with fix versions and with the change request process.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I have the app on my phone, where I can review tickets and CRs and change their status. However, when I want to review a fixed version, it tries to take me to the web version, and using that from a phone isn’t very useful.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because we work under the Agile methodology, Jira is very good at versioning and sprint management, which are the features we use the most.

**What do you like best about Jira?**

It helps us find blockers faster and understand what needs attention. For a business, this makes work more organized and the team more responsible. Before this, things were messy and we didn’t know who was doing what. With Jira, we can see the full workflow, plan our sprints, and track progress much better

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

honestly, Jira is not perfect. Sometimes it feels too complicated, especially for someone who is not technical. There are too many options and screens, and setting up workflows takes a lot of time.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solved big problems for us like task tracking, transparency, and better planning. But on the other side, it still has issues like complexity, slow speed, and too many features that we don’t always need. Still, it does the main job well and helps us manage work in a more clear way. Jira made everything more clear by putting all issues, bugs, and tasks in one system where everyone can see the progress. It also helped us plan our sprints better and understand which tasks are blocked or getting delayed. Basically, it fixed the problem of messy project tracking and made our workflow more organised and easy to follow.

What I like best about Jira is how well it centralizes work and keeps everything organized and visible. The Jira interface mimics that of other popular task and priority management tools/platforms (like Trello, MS Planner) so that made it easier to navigate because of the similarities and intuitive nature of the website for ITDP's purposes (which was OKR tracking primarily).

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It was difficult to understand how various tasks and key results leveled up to broader team and organizational goals. The layout and interface could have included more connections between and across teams for organizations that are not necessarily organized linearly.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was integrated into our Okta identifying software so that made it easy to access for reporting. It was also the primary OKR and progress tracking platform we used across the organization before we made the switch.

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like the various possibilities for viewing boards in Jira, where I can see the same ticket information in different ways, such as in a Kanban board or a detailed list, for various analysis purposes. This flexibility is very important for my work, allowing me to adapt the view according to my needs. Additionally, the initial setup of Jira was quite easy, with most functions being easy to understand, which greatly facilitates the use of the software on a daily basis.

The export of data through a spreadsheet could be easier to select the fields you would like to export, it is very complex and not very intuitive.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to organize and record warranties, solving the problem of open tickets in after-sales and storing all the dealings in one place, with various viewing options for analysis.

Custom workflows, fields, schemes, and permissions can feel overwhelming for beginners. When dealing with thousands of issues and task updates, the UI sometimes lags. Managing roles, access rights, and project-level permissions requires careful planning. Cost rises as more users and apps/add-ons are added.

Teams don't need scatters, spreadsheets, or documents; everything lives inside Jira. Managers get real-time insights into what's in progress, Whats's blocked, what's ready for review, and who's assigned that. Better sprint planning and agile execution for teams can be estimated using story points, tracking sprint commitments, and identify bottlenecks.

The Jira reporting is not up to the mark. There are currently pre-built reporting templates. Ideally, Jira should allow us to build custom reports based on our requirements.

I find it easy to add users and configure workflows on different projects as required. It provides dashboards for senior management, which gives a clearer view across the board on what work is done.

On the admin side, it gets a little tricky. The training is a little difficult and understanding issue schemes, screens, configuration setup, and different projects can get tedious. Setting up each project with a different work scheme, issue types, screens, and what not wasn't easy at all.

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Project management has become much easier since I started using Jira, and handling tasks across different projects is also straightforward through it. We integrated Git with Jira, which made it even easier to create the specific branch from the required repository for each ticket.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One downside of Jira that I’ve noticed is the user experience. Even though most of the features are useful, the overall interface can still be confusing for users. The positioning of the action buttons needs to be updated, because it isn’t always clear where to click next. I’m also often confused about the difference between tasks and sub-tasks, and I think this area needs to be improved in a clearer, more user-friendly way.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management at the sprint level works well for us. We run 2-week sprints, and we can track the work by creating multiple tickets. We also do a daily stand-up to follow up on progress and keep everything aligned.

Our QA team uses it to create bug tickets, which makes it easier to track issues and update their status for developers.

Jira excels at making work visible. You always know what’s planned, what’s in progress, and what’s blocked. The way Jira enforces ownership is underrated, every task has a clear assignee and status, which reduces ambiguity.
I find Jira especially strong during release cycles; tracking scope changes, late bugs, and spillovers becomes manageable. Custom fields and workflows allow teams to capture the information they actually need, not just generic task details. 
Jira’s history and activity logs are valuable during debugging, you can see exactly what changed, when, and by whom.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira can feel rigid if workflows are not designed thoughtfully upfront. Performance can degrade slightly in projects with very large backlogs.

Replaces informal tracking (emails, chats, spreadsheets) with a structured system of record. Makes dependencies and blockers visible early, reducing last-minute surprises. I like Jira's searching feature where I can search for things very easily, and I get all the required updates. This keeps me always on top of my project and helps track how resources are functioning. Also, the initial setup was very easy because the guidance was there, making the process smooth.

Maybe it is a bit slow. That's the only, only thing I can think of now.

Jira has been very beneficial for me to use as a project management tool. I can keep track of the work my team is doing by having tasks linked to an Epic ticket and make sure that progress is continuously being made.

Jira can be a little overwhelming behind the scenes when I need to make adjustments to my workflows. There are a lot of options and it can sometimes be hard trying to find the right setting I need to adjust.

Jira provides a high level overview of the tasks and projects my team is working on. Each column shows the status of the issue being worked on and without opening the ticket and reading the details I can know where things are at from a glance.

What I like best about Jira is its powerful issue tracking and workflow customization.

I like Jira's ability to connect with downstream systems and track changes or requests. Using the API from upstream, we connect with Jira, allowing our business technology team to enable the auto-creation of tickets. This makes it easy for us to track any request without having to ask for status updates. Additionally, the initial setup of Jira was easy.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It's not quite user-friendly for users apart from the engineering team or team from a tech background. Non-engineering team requires time to learn how to create a Jira ticket and how to use it.

I use Jira for tracking changes, approvals, and compliance evidence. It connects with downstream systems via API, allowing ticket auto-creation and easier tracking of requests without hassle.

It helps me keep track of tickets in both Scrum and Kanban. Both our business team and our engineering team use it.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The latest UI enhancements aren’t good. It feels like too much of a fancy tool to use, rather than something straightforward. Also, some reports are missing real-time data.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s our primary tool across different functions for tracking work. Our engineers and product team use it for standups and to run Scrum calls, and the CS team uses it for daily standups as well.

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like Jira because it allows every stakeholder within the company to communicate clearly over different projects through ticketing. Every issue can be addressed separately and there is no time wasted on getting the information of the task. Everything is transparent and clear for all to see, which means no discussions about whether or not you did the assignment. You can connect different tickets to your epic, enabling you to build towards a goal and ensuring everyone knows what, why, and how we are doing what we're doing. It helps us structure our work, making it less time-intensive and improving priority focus, especially with so many ad-hoc requests coming in.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I find the form for filling in tickets could be more customizable. It's good in some situations but can be a little slow in the setup. The initial setup of Jira was difficult for me since I had no prior experience, making it time-consuming to go through all of the variables to get to my eventual board.

To start, the name immediately reminds me of Indian masala, which makes it quite memorable. On the technical side, this tool has already established a strong reputation for reliable task tracking. There is also a sophisticated feature that enables you to document what was accomplished in previous releases. The navigation throughout the different features is very easy, and I find it helpful in fetching dashboards of different individuals easily. The customization and scalability of dashboards are highly valuable, and the strong integration ecosystem makes tasks easier by allowing automatic creation. I also appreciate the 'quick pin access' for recent tasks and apps, making it convenient to access without needing to repeatedly deep dive. Finally, setting up my tickets section and dashboards in Jira was damn easy, and it provided quick suggestions to keep everything flexible.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira works well for so many things, but just to give feedback on what can be improved is, it is tough to navigate all the closed tickets in a year is difficult to find and it does not have a capability to fetch the tickets of last year, it can only show the tickets worked in the current year. The ticket when we search it does not open in a different tab and it overlaps the current opened window of the ticket, which gets annoying to click back every time and reach on the current ticket.

Jira organizes tasks and projects, solves reporting comprehensively, and automates task creation with strong integration. It's scalable and customizable, making navigation and dashboard creation easy and contributing to efficient project management and easy access to various task views.

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like uploading bulk cases in Jira through the API setup in Jira, as well as the ability to track real-time work. Inside Jira, there's a setup of API which allows you to choose the test cases you want to upload. This feature is particularly convenient when the headers of API columns are aligned with your case headers. Setting up Jira was quite easy for me as long as I followed the procedure correctly.

Improvement can be done by adding AI into Jira.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to track project progress and manage defects. It helps in tracking work real-time and offers API setup for uploading bulk cases.
