What many folks don’t realize is that the name Jira was actually inherited from the Japanese word “Gojira” which means Godzilla. I think it’s appropriate because this application helps knock down barriers across program & developer teams. Its organization of epics, stories and collaborative gadgets make it a power-house tool for Project Managers. Jira has helped me develop a more efficient requirement gathering process in an ever-evolving agile world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Many tools and solutions are built to be incredibly user friendly; everything from the UX to the nomenclature are easy to adapt to. Jira’s use of terms are unique to their business and I’ve found that getting new users to adapt to the ‘epic’ or ‘story’ train of thought is sometimes difficult. Additionally, the automated notice functions can use some work, but that may be a system setting that is self-managed and I’m not familiar with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
